I am currently looking at some TE37 SL 18x9 +45 for my FD. I DO NOT want to roll my fenders. I am also unsure of what tire to put on them so suggestions are always welcome. If you think that the sizing would not work without rolling please inform me on a better size that still looks flush.
18" for sure, TE37's in 17" look too small IMO. the offset and tire rolling is a can of worms and is all subjective.... that is really up to you. i had TE37's in 18 x 9.5 +42 all around and they fit perfect with no rolling and i'm pretty lowered also but they were a little to sunk in for my taste especially in the rear. i ran 255/35 hankook tires all around which is a baby stretch.
i would suggest something like:
Front 18 x 9.5 +42 (ish... could as low as +30)
Rear 18 x 10.5 + 42 (ish could be as low as +30)
see the below link play around here and do a lot of research.

@yurcivicsux Thanks for this info. Looking at the updated selection on VividRaciing I'm seeing TE37 Saga S-plus 18x10 +35mm all the way around. Any comment on this?
@BLUE TII Thanks for this great perspective. So I take it for the FD, we are outward limited (not hitting the fenders), and not worried about inward (hitting shocks/springs)? So on the quest of staying close to +50mm what's the extreme upper bound of width you mentioned?
I've seen the willtheyfit.com but don't know what's the max bounds for our cars, so didn't find it being helpful.
Regarding how much room inward is available- the max wheel backspace available is between 7.5 and 7.77 inches front/rear on the FD.
I run 18x11 +45 (7.77" BS) with 295mm wide tires, but thats max camber and roled fenders on the outside.
How much room to the fender lip depends on how much camber you run. Stock alignment is 0 deg front camber and you can get up to -2.5 deg with the adjusters.
Each degree of camber provides 5.5mm to the fender.
When I had stock front fenders and -2.5 deg camber a 17x8.5 +30 wearing 255/40-17 would just barely hit the fender lip.
To equate that to 0 deg camber-
5.5mm times my 2.5 deg equals 13.75mm. Doubled because tire centers itself on wheel and you would be limited to a 205/45-17 on 17x8.5 +30 with factory alignment.
Didn't want to create a new thread, but didn't want to highjack a thread. I'm currently waiting on my FD to be delivered but I do have some TE's sitting around. Specs are 18x9 +39 square. I was wondering if someone has some insight on what spacers I would need, if any, to get a flush fit. Not planning to run any camber and going to lower a bit but not slam. Just a nice, clean, and conservative look.

If an option I would prefer a square set up vs staggered just from the option of being able to rotate tires F to R.
I have a staggered set of TE-37s 17 inch (225/45/17 and 255/40/17) don't recall the offsets, but they were a deal and something I didn't think of almost 2 decades ago.. The tire options seem better in the 18 inch size. Agree that the 18 inch wheels looks more 'modern' on the RX-7, but accentuate the smallish sized OEM rotors (if still stock).
@Rocketeerbandit Do you think you would be able to fit 265/35/18 F&R 18x10 +40? A square 255/35/18 on a 18x9 would be the other option.
I run a set of 18x10 +38 square ZE40s. I currently have a 255/35 on the front that has a 9.6” tread width, so somewhat large for a 255.
You can definitely run a 10 +40 with a 265 but will need to roll the front fenders and run more camber than the stock alignment.
I’ve driven my car fairly hard at the tail of the dragon and have only barely kissed the front fender liners with the tire under one large compression. No other rubbing.

Would you happen to have any photos of your wheel setup @jorts17
Any update to this thread on what you guys decided on on your own setups ?
Currently shopping for TE37's hoping for an 18" square setup and wider wheels (10 or 10.5) but im very new to fitment and looking for some inspiration on what others have done.
I just got a square set up of TE37's at 18x10 with +38 offset - I havent installed wheels on a car before and was wondering if anybody had any advice if I need to roll or pull fenders.
I have ohlins all round and I dont believe theyre too lowered (im not sure as im inheriting the suspension setup from the previous owner.)
IMO, lowered car with aftermarket wheels = rolled front fenders no matter what. My first setup was 17X8" +38 SSR Integrals with 245/40/17, and standard lowering springs (Koni/Eibach I believe), and that lunched my fender lip.
thank you guys for the responses @BLUE_TII @PTRHAHN - im gonna get the front fenders rolled and update you guys with fitment and photos once I get it done, I appreciate it!
@the_saint me too man, got super lucky and found these on Marketplace with tires already at a really good price. Researched extensively to make sure they werent reps/fakes either and owner was legit.
Once you powder coat yours would love to see em!
By the way - do you guys have photos of your current setups (if theyre different from your previous photos).
