Mystery lines in rats nest

Hey guys redoing all my vacuum lines and got to the rats nest and found some metal connecting tubes with nothing on them. Is this normal for a USDM ?(talking about the ones without a shine to them)

I think that's the lines for EGR. If you have a car without EGR (I think they ditched the system in '95) then that makes sense.

Simple, really!

Sorry for the small pic. This diagram has been posted here and there.

It is from the USDM FSM.
