LED equivalent for HVAC control bulbs?

Hello! Does anyone know the LED equivalent for the bulbs circled in the attached pic? These are part number FD01-61-C95. I can order the originals but want to replace them with LEDs while I am in there.

They are not a neo wedge bulb. Rather, they have a screw-in base versus twist in. Thanks!

I don't know if a direct LED replacement is out there. You may have to do something like solder an LED into that plastic carrier or something.

Might be worth finding one of those components to test with used, they should be a dime a dozen.

Thanks, Dale. I am unaware of a direct fit but thought I'd reach out to see if anyone has experience here.

I am going to check out doing a DIY retrofit later today, or I may just replace the old bulbs with new OEM ones and call it a day.

Thanks, John. Hope all is well with you.

I took a second look at the bulbs last week and realized they were neo wedges. Ordered some from SuperBright LEDs and they showed up today.

As it turns out, I had some time in the past replaced the bulbs with LED ones - go figure. The white LED in the dimmer switch had burned out, so I replaced that today. The red ones are fine.

I don't know if I had previously posted this, but I also doubled the number of LEDs in the temp and airflow direction *****, and I added a LED to the fan speed switch.

Should be nice and bright now. Lastly, the Black Cat Custom HVAC labels showed up today. They look like they will be a nice replacement for the old, abused OEM ones. I am keeping my OEM temp control label as I like the 94 design better than the 93 one provided by Black Cat.

David,

looking for some help as it seems you have dove into this project. What bulbs are red and which are white? Additionally, how did you go about adding more? Any pictures installed and lit up? Would love to see how it turned out.

Check out the pics in the linked thread. See the lighted ones and the ones where I added the extra NEO LED bulbs. I drilled into the back of the gauge holes for the extra LEDs. I ordered from SuperBright LEDs some T3.25-SW: T3-1/4 Sockets that were pre-wired and used them for the new LEDs. You then simply wire the new sockets into the existing wiring, and it's done. It really is pretty simple and it brightens up the dash significantly. PM if you have questions - David
