Interior bits redone by ESH

Thought I would share the results of a couple items I had reupholstered by ESH for my R2...

First, I finally got around to installing the sakebomb garage passenger side door pull I bought ages ago - and had ESH wrap in some perforated leather with a thin foam underlay:

The handle took a little finagling to fit, but it looks good and the handle pull feels great (and very strong). Not shown is some nice stitchwork by ESH on the inside of the handle holding the leather together.

Next, these have been in my FD awhile now - some R1/R2 seats redone in Alcantara, basically stock style but with perforations in the center panels and new seat belt straps:

Very comfortable, and ESH did a nice job with the upholstering. Can't really go wrong with those guys.

Thumbs up

I've espoused the virtues of the Edwards boys many times on my build thread..... They really bring a lot of value to our community, as IMO there was a missing link as far as 'Making your FD Badass' when it came to the interior realm.

Every time I take my FD to any kind of high-end car meet, people basically drool all over my seats. ESH-Recovered Spirit Rs are far superior to the original material, and they've really stood up to usage (and sweat down here in Flawda) in the past year plus.

Can't wait to install these recent goodies from the boys at ESH, for those who haven't seen my build thread recently:

Those look great!
Now I'm thinking that I need to get a set of Alcantara boots for the shifter and handbrake from ESH...

Did you ship your seats from OC to ESH in Maryland?

Thanks for the post Bob. Glad to see that you are enjoying your interior bits.

Thanks to Rich for posting up also. Now, get that stuff actually installed in the car!!!

Bob actually purchased a set of core seats that I had here. Once the seats were completed, we bolted them to a pallet and shipped them to him. This is something that we do regularly for all sorts of large interior pieces.

I'd like to also add, if I were to do this again I would consider having automotive grade fire-resistant materials used, despite the added cost. I did not think about this at the time; but had I done so then that is probably the direction I would have gone. Something to keep in mind if you are planning a redo.
