Inside cabin ac/heat

Hey guys so i have a wierd issue here. With my key not even in the ignition I can turn on the air inside the car. It only comes out from the bottom vents and defroster vents. I can't make the air come out from the other vents nor can I change the temperature from cold to hot with the key in the ignition also. I can't seem to control any of that it's just stuck at the bottom vents and the heat doesn't work either even though though both the heater core lines get hot. Where should I start looking into this issue?

I'm stumped. Have never heard of this one. Hopefully someone else chimes in. Otherwise start by searching this forum.

That is weird and not normal - with the key out, the HVAC blower fan should not run at all. Best guess is you have shorted/buggered up wiring that is causing the blower motor to see power when it shouldn't. Can you read & understand electrical schematics? The place to start troubleshooting is to download yourself the factory service manual (FSM), and make sure you get the wiring schematics section (FSM section Z), and it also helps to download the separate "Body Electric Troubleshooting Manual". There are links to those on the forum, a quick search should find them.
