IMO a few things are hurting the car's value and mind you this is without pictures
Exhaust is generic oversized muffler that need to be updated due to rust threw around the welds on the muffler.
Interior also has some upgrades like full (real) carbon fiber dash, shift ****, AEM boost gauge and wideband (sensor still needs to be mounted to exhaust).

You are better off selling your uninstalled parts on here separately than just giving them away to the buyer.

So without seeing a single picture I'm thinking the car in it's present state would be somewhere in the vicinity of $15K. Fix the minor issues and it would go upwards of 18K (more on BaT, **** has been crazy lately). This is just my wild *** guess so take it as a grain of salt but I am curious on what others speculate.

Obviously a no name muffler that needs to be updated will hurt the value. Also unless that carbon fiber interior is absolutely breath taking, I'd put back the stock pieces (if you have them). Last go get that wideband hooked up (or simply remove it). As you already know, a car that needs to be worked on (no matter how slight) kills the price. To get the most $$, you really want to sell a car that you can just hand over the keys and say happy motoring.

i appreciate your input. I did forget to mention it’s missing a cover on the passenger side headlight and the trunk needs to be replaced or worked on by a body shop. It has some rust around the window seal that causes it to leak. I have since fixed the leak but and stopped the rust but cosmeticly it’s still an issue. As you can see in the photos it does also have a over sized throttle body as well as stainless steel brake lines. I have a brand new pair of ss lines as well. So many little things have been done over the years it’s hard to remember them all.

Price Variability by Mileage
I have plotted the data of price vs mileage from the FD Price Database spreadsheet available on that thread.
Data selected dates from January 2016 to recent. There has been much less volatility in the low mileage cars, as apposed to the cars in the 80,000 mile range. Interesting that there is less volatility again in the cars over 100,000 miles, perhaps suggesting that price is dependent on the degree of modification or restoration.

Welp this is a little embarrassing but to be honest I never really checked the vin for the year, when I purchased the car about 7yrs ago the guy I bought it from had it listed as a 94 and I never checked it out. But if what you all say is correct than I would have to agree it must be a 93. Does that really impact the value though being that it’s just a 1 year difference. Was there anything special about the 94s other than what you have mentioned in regard to the airbag and door panels?

Somewhere on here someone has posted a copy of a service bulletin that list dozens of minor and major points a dealer might need to address. The earlier a car, the more of those items may not have been known and addressed. It is useful to find that list and check over your car. Some folk have found they have gone many years (i.e. forever) with simple issues not having been remedied.
It may be that some of these issues might not have had an remedy period expiry date, and you could surprise your local dealer with a request to fix.

For what it's worth, I got an unsolicited offer of $40K for my FD over the weekend. Of course, it's not for sale as I've only had it a few weeks, but I believe the market for these cars (at least in Silicon Valley) is stronger than the sentiment in this thread indicates.

At this point it's abundantly clear that his 42.5k price tag was in line or why else would a random stranger come up to him and offer him 40k
I don't think this forum sells this car short at all. Gordon and I along with several others have been saying for years that the FD would become a valuable collector. The one thing I do and will always do is keep it real. There are 5 to 10 low mileage FDs currently listed for sale at over 30k and they've all been for sale for months and none have sold. I'm guessing the sellers all paid at most 30k and are hoping to make 10 or 15k plus because they understand they have the upper hand at this time. How long will this strong market last is anyone's guess? I suspect before prices go higher they'll go lower but that's just my instinct and I was dead wrong about the economy/stock market so I may be dead wrong about this market as well.
I should be listening to Gordon who said the prices will be 50k to 70k but I just have to go with my own gut which at this time is saying 40k is the top. I think we are currently living in one of the biggest economic bubbles of the last 50 years but it may have plenty of room to grow before bursting. Only time will tell. The good news is I own several FDs so if the market goes higher I'll let some go if it goes lower I'll keep them, or win, win

Reading these posts makes me slightly nauseous considering I passed up a 94 R2 SSM with BNR’s and full supporting mods for I want to say $24k, with about 60k-70k miles, if memory serves correct — two years ago.
I might have done well to take that car but fell in love with my 93 Base BB which was in state. In the end I’m happy with my car and hindsight is 20/20 but man it’d be nice to have a highly desirable combination.
