If healthy a hot start and idle says a lot especially on a stock car.

If I was listing an FD I'd definitely include a compression test though especially with those miles. It should be outstanding.

Id be shocked if it had any real impact. CYM is gonna CYM but if I’m dropping $75k plus on a collector fd it’s going to be on the 5k mile car. CYM’s mileage takes away from its own desirability a decent bit.

I’m betting $90k on the black one and $65k on the cym.

Just curious if there are any thoughts as to effect of a 1:10pm (EDT) / 10:10am (PDT) auction end time on a summer Saturday for the BB, low miler on BaT. I can't decide if it would help (no work distractions) or hurt (summer weekend plans).

My guess is, since this is such a rare bird, you're either aware of the auction and in, or you're out. If you're in and willing to drop big dough on this or any car, it won't matter when the auction ends.

30 minutes to go and it's at $82k. You might be on the money. Will be interesting to see whether it stalls or sky rockets in the last few minutes.

That's some crazy low mileage premium. But then compare to a similar mileage Spirit R.

Finally we have a car that broke the $100k mark. As a tribute, I will take a nice long drive on the FD today.

Am I alone in being sad to think about that FD sitting in some garage for practically THE LAST THIRTY YEARS!

Anyone see this?

Nuts! Z32s have been climbing, but the top examples have sold in the $50k, so $135k with 22k miles is nuts. I had a Z32 before my FD and it was a great car, but I'll always prefer the more hardcore, exotic feel of the FD.

RSP Supra Auto TT.. don't think it's too surprising it went over $200k. Impressive nonetheless

Hilarious, even though it pains me to see. I’ve said for years the Supra values will always outpace the FD. The z32 is rather shocking. I’ve looked at picking one up from time to time as I had a good bit of seat time in them years ago. However, that time has likely passed with this recent sale.

I have nothing to add about that Z other than wow... But that supra is a T-TOP, AUTO, and with a DAMAGE REPORT. All things that are supposed to deter higher prices .

Crazyness....

But hey. Wasn't the market cooling off just a couple weeks ago because a couple FDs sold for less than $50k. Haha.

What changed?

And there is just no logical excuse for that Z selling for over $50k. That's insane.

Isn't all that surprising when you put it all in context, this new generation of "collectors" or just the world in general has gone nuts. A crashed automatic supra for 200k, an ugly Datsun for 130k, and a 30 year old Mazda for 100k. Folks seem to have more money and less sense every day...

The Z is impossible to explain but yes the market is cooling on all cars and houses as a whole. There will be outliers in every market but prices are plateauing and even beginning to decline.

Car prices may be cooling BUT FD parts prices continue to increase as supply decreases and the NLA list steadily grows.
