PA How many 93 FD's had red interior?

I have a 1993 silver touring FD with red interior. How many total were there? I heard there is somewhere around 1000 total of all 3 colors it was offered in for 93. I searched here extensively but could only find the # for 94-95 silver FD's.

I was wondering this because I'd like to post it in my add for my 1993 FD I'm considering selling

Thanks

That is an interesting question, I do think that the red interior looks really neat on the silver and white, but not black.

did you find the #'s for 94-95 Silver over Red or just Silver cars? My understanding is that red interior was not offered in '95... and that the red was different in color in '93 and '94.

The first FD I ever seriously considered buying was a silver/red 93. Never saw it in person but drooled over all the internet pics. If I ever did pick up another it would probably be that color combo, or black with red interior.

same here. i actually won a silver/red '93 on ebay back around 1999, however, before i could have it shipped to me, the driver totaled it. i thought he was bullshitting to get out of the deal, but then he emailed me the police report and the pictures. after that i bought a silver/black '94 instead, now now i have my silver/red '93

Yes it was not offered in '95. The 94 had black door panels, red carpet and red seats... The 93 was a much better combo, IMHO, with the black carpet, red door panels and red seats.

I looked at so many FD's before I finally purchased one and the silver on red caught my eye. When I went to go look at the car I was really unsure if I was going to like it but damn does it look good. Just the right shade of red. I LOVE the way it looks.

I thought I found the numbers a long time ago but I have tried to find the same ones recently and have come up empty. I want to say the numbers I found several years ago were there were 85 silver on red 1993's shipped to the U.S. But like I said, I am usure if that number is correct and would greatly appreciate it if someone had a true/accurate number.

I really hope you can. Yeah, I have not been able to find any numbers with interior colors in it either. I tried looking for a while longer again and still just the same old model number breakdown.

The red interior is by far the least common. Some like it...some hate it. To each his own.

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/purchase-advice-94-rx-7-touring-823027/

the car checked out completely right. it has a cool story to it... the performance mods were completed and the car was sorted out... but never driven since! i'll write a new thread when i get it home in the spring.

Not a true red interior, more like a partial swap (be weary)
You are missing the best part (red doors)

sk8erpunk1983 says:

This statement is not true. The '94 Red interior is as Damascus' photo shows: that is the way it was built, not a partial swap. Red seats, red carpet, black doors. I personally find the red doors from the 93's a bit too much, but that is just a matter of opinion and nothing else.

Nice purchase, Damascus! I know you will enjoy.

umm...that's how they came in '94. the 1994 model didn't have red doors.
