Ok lets step this thing up a notch... time for ultra rare parts... if you got em, come out of the woodwork. (something like the HKS tranny on the last page I think qualifies)
Ok, lets play name that hood

I'll share what I know about "the project" once someone correctly identifies it

An Australian developed limited edition model is released and set to compete in the local Australian GT Production Car Series. Body changes include a revised nose cone with a lower airdam and side brake air vents and bonnet inlet and exhaust air vents, all part of a new cold air induction system. This includes a carbon fibre air box and ducting. The body also has side guard air exit vents, larger wheels and tyres, a raised rear deck spoiler made from carbon fibre and modified larger exhaust system. Identifying decals for these 25 exclusive vehicles are fitted to the BBS design alloy wheel hub centres and on the rear panel. For the interior, optional fibreglass Recaro sports seats are available.
More powerful 13B engine is fitted to the heavily revised engine bay. Modifications include the use of a new larger intercooler and associated ducting, a lightweight flywheel, new headers and a 75mm exhaust system and an upgraded cooling system which includes a larger radiator. A special aerodynamic wing located under the engine is used to help extract cooling air. Compression ratio: 9.0:1 Maximum power is increased to 204kW @ 6500rpm. Maximum Torque: 357Nm @ 4600rpm Final drive ratio is set at a taller 4.3:1 (usually 4.1:1) and the fuel tank capacity increased from 76 to 110 litres in a lightweight carbon fibre tank. The four wheel disc brakes have been enlarged to 310mm. Alloy wheels are a composite BBS style.
It looks like the Australian spec RX7 SP bonnet

Nice work! But... if it were the SP hood, where have the "ugly?" upper vents gone? And scrubs tip from above is correct as well.
The SP was FD track perfection... but this was genesis
To add stuff about SP.
The current RZ/RS/Spirit R brakes are based off of the SP. The rotors for the SP were designed and made by Disc Brakes Australia (DBA). Funny thing is that they don't make replacements for the RZ rotors.

Managed to aquire quite a few of the rare parts.
Mazdaspeed seats in Black/Grey, FEED Coilovers, Stack Sard Carbon Instrument Panel, Knightsports Lights. It's a shame I'm being deployed away with work again so cant still buy another RX7. Going to have to sell them now.

Damn you guys don't know your FD history. Ok this should tip someone off at least ... this hood goes to the FD that "never existed." This story dates back to the early (and I mean EARLY) 90's
ps That KS hood pictured above was "inspired" by this original design
. KS made it a little more aggressive. But that wasn't the impetus behind making it... if I recall, it was made to satisfy the demand (but lack of supply) drummed up by the mystery hood.

Also, Highboost242 - Is your KS hood made out of metal?? By looks of it it does (hood pin opening).

I remember this setup a long time ago. Its the Rx7 Fashion FMIC. You could tell by the piping. I remember back then not many people had it and it was hard to find. Not to mention it was expensive.
I duno if M2 stuff are hard to come by now a days either but since they arent in business anymore i would guess their stuff is pretty rare?
