EVO-R Scam??

Summary
Shipped to wrong address, not responding to any messages.

I bought 90mm Sleek headlights from them on blackfriday.
I paid via Visa card and gave them my proper address, i even have a screenshot after the payment with the address.
I've been trying to contact them via email and instagram, yet no response.
Today i received an email saying my item was shipped (Tracking EE754240330TW) to the same street address but different country (Malaysia)!!
So before i block the payment from my bank, i want to do the right thing and give them a couple of days to see if someone on this forum can contact them to get in touch.

Kinda misleading title for what you're asking.

Calling EVO-R a "Scam" in the title and saying "I want to do the right thing and give them a couple of days" is kinda two separate sides of the spectrum... it's disingenuous at the very least.

If they shipped your product to the wrong address that's called a *mistake* not a scam. You have at least 30 days to file a charge back (and up to 6 months in some cases)... so why don't you just settle down and see how it all shakes out.

With Black Friday, Cyber Monday and day-to-day business - I'm sure they are busy and we all know they are not a huge company... so give them some benefit of the doubt. They're been around 10+ years without scamming, I'm sure they didn't pick you to be the first.

There is a difference between Scam! and Scam?
If you want to be a professional seller, then you have to act like one. Ignoring the buyer's countless emails and sending it to another country is by no means a professional.
I wanted someone on the forum to contact him or anyone else who went through the same to reply. Apparently someone did contact him and he did messaged me.

I could have simply cancelled my transaction and moved on, but i didn't cuz im not sure it it was a mistake or done on purpose.
There is no way of editing the title or deleting the thread. If so i would've. Cuz apparently the country showed up different to what it shows me. Paypal is to blame.

Admin can delete this thread.

No. You put the seller's name and "Scam" in the title and there's not a whole lot of wiggle room.

You wanna say they're unprofessional? Ok. Still not a scam.
You wanna cancel the transaction and get your money back? Ok. Still not a scam.

The truth is what you found out - **** happens. No one sends an order 1/2 way around the world to another country on purpose. It's obviously a mistake - and one with a rational explanation.

But real point is - you're bitching that it's been days (hours?) since you sent an e-mail and haven't gotten a response during the busiest shopping week (Black Friday / Cyber Monday) of the year. I mean, Black Friday wasn't even a week ago and perhaps this didn't even ship until Monday. That's like 72 hours for them to ship it, you realize it went to the wrong address, you contact them and them not to respond.

Calm down. That's all I'm saying.

Not a scam for sure. Bought from them before. Shipped fast and everything was as promised.

I ordered from them on the black friday. I got the headlights I ordered in 3 days sent from Taiwan to Canada! Not only that but they threw in a free rotary plush toy!

This seller has been known to be slow on responding to any sort of communication. But I have never seen him scam anyone out of money.

You should chill out first man, look at it this way. Their will be two outcomes:

1: Evo-r sends you the headlights thus you get what you purchased, they will most likely throw in a little extra for the mistake.

2: You block the payment, waste time disputing the charge and never receive what you purchased.

Agreed.

There was a case about five years ago where he went dark and I had to lean on him pretty heavily, he did end up making good on the order. You can search in the feedback section, in general he comes through but can take some time.

I've met him at sevenstock a few times, really nice guy. I believe he is basically a one man show with occasional help. I'm sure you'll get your parts. Btw, I personally believe you were warranted to make the thread, it got you a response from the seller anyhow. Just make sure to follow thru and update the thread when you get your parts that way it ends on a positive note, case closed.

I've known Jay for a few years now, purchased demon-I lights also and know he's doing business in and out of country on a full time basis. He's hard to catch up with at times but he's legit.
I've not seen anyone make allegations regarding his business practices in the past, but if they're out there maybe they could chide in.
Making accusations appears to be an easy response nowadays but doesn't resolve anything. There's been some good advice provided that may assist in resolving your issue.

Ill, Like I told you I shipped to the address was listed on your paypal account. I don't know how your credit card company deal with paypal. If address is wrong package will be return to me and I will ship to your correct address. I will only ship to whatever address shows on the order. There are too many fake buyers who ask me ship to different address cuz they use someone else's account. Ihave already told you what I can do is to wait for the package return to me. Once return to me I will give full refund. You will have to re order with correct address. Please be patient. Below is where to package is:

I agree with Jay on shipping only to the address listed on Paypal. It is one of the few protections sellers have. Shipping to an address other than the confirmed/listed address on the Buyer's Paypal will void any protections for the Seller.

the seller should also contact the shipping company to see what they can do to have the package held or returned otherwise it may not even wind up on the return journey. you know, christmas unclaimed postal box poker party. hopefully the package was insured, i have a feeling it probably won't be making it back on this one.

the guy asked a simple question and i never took it as him making a declaration that he was scammed by them, i'm not sure why people can't read the question mark. or the fact that if the same happened to any one of you then you might be asking the same question.

I finally did receive the item. They look great! Thanks!
Still not satisfied with the communication.

The problem was that the shipping country showed as "Malaysia" to the seller.
Maybe cuz my email had a paypal account registered a few years back (it's no longer valid).
The thing is that i never used paypal to login, nor pay.
I paid via Visa card and the address i gave was correct (same as card), but since i put my email id it somehow had showed the country wrong to jay.

It's a glitch that i wasn't aware of, until i got a reply from paypal saying my item had been shipped to Malaysia.
I left several messages via several different networks, i never got a response. Hence why i posted it on this forum, so someone else can contact him. If that did not work, i would have simply block the payment.
Even then i got only 1 response from you. Non of my other solutions and replies got a response. So i was in the dark wondering whether you wanted me to cancel payment or wait a bit longer. It was really a stressful period until i got a call from customs saying my package had arrived.
Just so you know, if i had blocked payment there is absolutely nothing paypal can do.
I have been on the receiving end once or twice.

Even i have several online businesses, but the lack of communication is not cool.
There are buyers who contact me to put a lower price to help with customs or want to combine shipping or want to ship to a different address (middle man), etc.. Non of this is possible without communication.
At least please give them your whatsapp number. Even if you have a delay in shipping the buyer will be at ease if you simply said so.

Did you contact EMS to change the country?
Or did you wait till they returned it back?

This forum seriously has some uneducated people who can't even understand a simple post. Maybe they are doing it just to increase there post count or just lack common sense.

They ended up making things right for me. fd3s777 is a good guy this seems like a shipping issue, not quality control.
I'll bet he's trying to find the package but it's Christmas and dealing with fedex or ANY shipping company right now it a nightmare. Give him a little while, chance are he'll come thru for you.

Like i said before i received the packaged. All good!
No one is to blame here except paypal, but a lack of communication didn't help matters.
EMS realized that a wrong country was used and they shipped it to the correct country without asking the seller.
The package still says "Malaysia" as destination. I guess thoughtful thinking by EMS helped solve this dilemma.
