Check valve question

Hi all,

I'm getting ready to do the vacuum hose replacement and I see that there are four of the green/white check valves that get replaced, and one of the larger green/black check valves that get replaced.

I was going to order them from the dealership, but then I saw Dale Clark's discussion of the Viton check valves. Do those check valves replace all five of the check valves in question, or just the four green/white ones? Does anyone know where one can source these check valves nowadays?

Also, is it still generally recommended that people replace the vacuum lines to the turbos/wastegate with new OEM lines with restrictors in them, or have people had success relocating the restrictors to new silicone hoses?

Thank you.

For those wondering, I got in touch with Dale Clark and he cleared it all up for me:

In regards to the check valves:

There are 4 green/white or green/black plastic check valves and one aluminum check valve. The plastic check valves fail frequently and are a poor design, the aluminum valve has a good long life but it's just for the vapor recovery system. Even if it's bad it really won't affect how the car runs. Typically it just needs to be cleaned.
In regards to the restrictors:

I've removed the restrictors and moved them over to SVH many times. There's no problems with doing that. If the hose is really hard and shot you may have to carefully cut away the hose to get the pill out - it is plastic, so you can't strongarm it.

Also, the two restrictors are different, so make sure to keep straight which one goes where.
Turns out Dale still has the Viton check valves too, so if anyone is searching for these in 2016/2017, yes, you still have a source for them!

Thank you, Dale!
