Bubble Tech Temporarily closed
So as some of you may have heard our shop was burnt down last week. I just wanted to make it public so no one feels like we are ignoring their emails/request. We'll be laying low for a while so I want to apologize in advance if we do not respond in a timely manor.
All the info regarding the fire can be found here.

This is terrible news, and I am truly sorry to hear it. As a former small business owner, I understand the vulnerability of that transition time before full commitment. I wish you all the best for a full recovery, and I will do anything I can to help. I've purchased from you before, and I will continue to do so. All the best!

Some disheartening news. I hope everything pulls thru for you man. I just purchased a dead piston plush. Been meaning to get one for the longest, I guess now would be a good time to finally order it.

Those picture honestly make me want to cry... I'm really sorry to see this
I wish you a full recovery as well, and hope you come back just as strong or stronger
Set up a garage or car rebuild day once you get back on your feet and I'll do all I can to be there with tools and spare parts
Best of luck and keep your chin up Ben!

Thank you all for your support. I feel like all I've been posting is negative things lately so on a lighthearted note, there is some good news.
As I have not moved into my new place I have left some projects and a few things didn't make it over yet. With that said, Thank god the engine bay cover is still in my possession. The wing I've been prototyping is still safe, along with some original map lids I can use to remake molds. Also majority of my inventory and composite stuff is still at my house. So I have not lost all hope of being able to make anything.
Thanks again for everyones support, I'll be back soon.

Oh man, this is truly disheartening. I have been planning on picking up several of your parts for my build for a long time now (especially those door panels which I see are sold out unfortunately).
Best of luck getting things going again. There aren't enough companies out there anymore making quality products like yours.
EDIT: Went ahead and ordered a heel plate and a shirt. Was planning on making my own plate, but maybe this will help you out a bit and save me some time.

Terrible news Benny. You will though rebound from this.
For those of you that don't know and wish to donate:

Benny, is there a way to get You Caring to allow donations via Paypal and credit cards? I've tried a few times to donate and it says credit cards are not allowed, just bank transfers.

Wow man. Really sorry to hear about this. I wish you the best of luck.
I have a couple of Bens parts (map pocket and cooling plate), and I really believe he embodies all the good things of a small business. For that reason, I agree with David. You'll pull through this. Keep you're head up man.

When you donate money it takes you right away to paypals website. You may choose to enter a new credit card (which did not work for me) OR at the top you can click where it states you already have a paypal account. Then it will ask you for user name password and then you have a choice to pay with CC or from your bank account. This way it worked for me.
Cheers

I've been watching the updates on Facebook lately about the shop and the progression. I also read through the update on the site that you wrote.
I'm a local MN guy and I heard that you were in the state on vacation at the time. I hope you had a good enough vacation here during your stay.
Being a younger guy who'd like to start his own shop, your enthusiasm and optimism in this time of darkness is inspiring to me.
Remember, out of the ashes:
"There was a silly damn bird called a phoenix back before Christ, every few hundred years he built a pyre and burnt himself up. He must have been the first cousin to Man. But every time he burnt himself up he sprang out of the ashes, he got himself born all over again."
-Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451

Good luck on your rebuilding.
I gotta wonder if any of those short blocks are salvageable.

Honestly, thank you everyone for the support. I've been doing fine as long as I'm kept occupied. Anything car related makes me a bit weary at times, but seeing all the support from the community really makes me break down. It really does make this easier to want to fight back with the community's support backing me, I thank you all sincerely
David, the site should accept paypal or CC. My paypal is Sales@Bubbletech.us if it makes it easier. I really appreciate the support.
Dreaminrotary, thank you for that quote

I know I have a handful of parts sitting around that I would literally give away - and I'm sure I'm not alone. If someone wanted to pay for them I'd be more then happy to send the proceeds to help the cause.

That is a great idea. I have a brand new Exedy racing clutch (10803AHD) for an RX8 (I think) that my father-in-law won at Deals Gap last year. Just spoke with him and he wants to donate the clutch proceeds to Benny.
So, how do we make this happen? Could the mods set up a special FS/Auction thread in the 3rd gen section?

Not sure how doable it is... but it would probably make sense to have a Specific "For Sale" section. Anyone with something to auction off starts a thread, each thread has a predetermined close data (2 weeks)...
"Exedy Racing Clutch - 10803AHD"
The body would be like any FS post - include pictures, descriptions, etc - and then just list a starting price and increments. Say, $200 + $20.
From there, each post by a member is a "bid". First response would be something like:
"I'm in! $220!"
...then"
"That sucker is mine! $240"
...then of course the obligatory:
"Oh man! I just bought one of these last week for $400! Wish I knew about this!"
The thread closes at a certain time, and the last high bid wins it. In the event that buyer can't/won't pay for it, it goes to the next highest.
Then we just have to operate on the gentleman's system. Funds should be paid to Bubble Tech as a gift... Bubble Tech confirms payment made to the seller... Seller ships item and provides tracking / deals directly with the buyer.
I know it sounds a bit risky with the gift payments and all... but the point is charity.

^ I really like the idea. Can we get a confirmation from the mods that it is okay to start a "special" FS thread in the 3rd ten section? If we can post the items here, the thread will get a lot more attention than being buried in the FS section. Given the cause, I'd think this would be a no brainer.
As soon as we can get confirmation, I'll start the thread by posting up the Exedy clutch.
Let's get this party started!

Rockin bubbletech carbon fiber door panels and full aluminum dash in my FD. I really hope you get back up and running man, I'm also interested in buying more products in the future since I was so happy with everything. Sorry this happened to you!
