Beeping Noise. This time it's DIFFERENT.

Hey guys,

Yes another thread regarding beeping noises. Now before everyone starts shooting bullets at me, I promise this is different ! I own a 1999 FD Rx7 type r. Long story short, I've got a beeping noise coming from the underneath to the right of the column. It's is not a beeeeeeppppp... It is literally beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Yet this beeping sound is even on while I'm driving.
It gets worse!
Now somehow the beeping noise is in sync with my windows. When I try to put my windows down it will only go down whenever it beeps (no my window is not beeping. Still talking about the same beeping noise coming from underneath the steering column). So just imagine my window going down a cm every second and stopping for another second going down simultaneously with the noise.

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks in Advance.

Typically the beeping is for the airbag system. Does the car have air bags?

Not sure why it's affecting the windows.

This will possibly be a real bear to sort out unfortunately. This isn't a common problem. If the car has any aftermarket electronics, especially an alarm or keyless entry system, that's where I'd start looking.

I think it could also be an issue with the seatbelt sensor circuit right?

CPU 2 controls a lot of this stuff so if it failed in a wonky way it might cause some interesting effects. It controls the beeper, security system, and I think the windows run through it somehow as well.

I do agree if you have any custom/aftermarket wiring you should start there, but otherwise you might look at CPU 2.

Well I did get a whole lot of new wiring done. I mean nothing to do with the airbag system or anything though. Just installed a new lt16 ecu and a dump valve and a few other things. Don't think it would affect the airbag system. Also I do have airbags 😁. I forgot to add this noise wasn't present before I sent it to the auto elec. It hasn't got an alarm or anything installed 🤷‍♂️. Would it have anything for to do with the immobilizer?

hmm I'll check this out later today. Hopefully I can work it out. It's just annoying because it just keeps beeping while I drive and it gets hella annoying 😅
