Apexi manual

I have a no-start problem with my 93 FD that has the Apexi aftermarket computer installed. Does anyone have an Apexi manual that is translated into English? The one I have does not help me much to check the correct fuel and ignition maps.

No start is most likely not the commander, but you can use the sensor check screen to make sure things are connected and reporting in like they should.

Thanks, DaleClark. I plan to trouble shoot the routine functions first, then see if the apexi computer is contributing anything. I just found a pdf version of the instruction manual online and downloaded it. The Japanese to English translation is pretty bad, but I may be able to follow it. I am still perplexed why the car developed this problem after working well since 2003 when the Apexi FC was installed. When I bought my 1968 Corvette five years ago I did not want any computer functions on it for just this reason. The old fashion analog/manual functions are much easier to fix.

I just noticed you gave the link to the instruction manual. Thanks.

I would try doing normal troubleshooting before just going straight to the ecu. Is there something that happened or something you know where you would just point to the ecu as the first thing?

cr-rex- After being a reliable starting engine for over 20 years, it did a no-fire no-start. The only unusual thing was the battery was nearly completely discharged and cranked the starter at slow speed for ten seconds before it died. I am attributing the dead battery to an unknown problem, not sure what it was. Now with the battery charged it still will not start. Turns over but no fire. I'll check for power to the coil and spark when cranking the motor. Also will see if fuel is getting to the injectors and if they are operating. Tha car is parked until I have time o work on it. Was hoping for a quick fix. My previous three FC cars had a glitch in the computer that required going thru the complete cold start and warm up cycle before turning off the ignition key. Otherwise the computer was still in the start cycle if you tried to re-start, but was in the part of the cycle where the air fuel ratio was wrong for the re-start.

I see... seems like you have a plan already. I'm sure whatever it is will be simple.
