TX 99 Efini y pipe wear at o-ring connection?

Need some input on this y pipe before I put it on my car. I am suspect that it may leak and I am wondering if anyone has seen this before? It doesn't look like a normal wear item and it doesn't look like the o-ring could do something like this so I am perplexed.. could a hi-temp grease seal it up?

I'd say clocking of the turbo compressors hasn't been correct, allowing metal on metal contact. Used to use silastic, as well as the O ring there to ensure no boost leaks.

Interesting, I don't want to cause probs on my car by trying to upgrade and I don't think I am as long as things are tight and sealed. What type of silastic or sealant do you recommend?

That section is the same between the OEM y-pipe and the 99 Spec, so if you are worry you can just use the stock one.

^Beat me to it. Yep, you can just use the one off your old 'Y' pipe.
