1995 $16995
Have owned our S5 TII since new so don't frequent the 3G site very often, but saw
this 1995 for sale in CA and thought I'd see what the FD guru's thought about the deal?
Sorry if it's been discussed before.

Looking at it they just say that the new *engine* has X many miles.. I'd have to wonder what the vehicle itself has, and whether or not the interior is worn. Zero photos of engine bay or interior, so who knows? Even so... 95's aren't exactly common... Too bad it's an auto.

Thanks for the input and they don't even list a VIN so can't do any research.
Did locate the VIN JM1FD3331S0400058

I did a double take at how high they sit stock.
It looks unmolested, that's for sure...not even tint on the rear window. The little glimpse we get of the interior looks clean too. That said, I'd never buy a car - especially one with a rotary engine - sight unseen. If you like it, I'd take a trip to cali or find someone you trust to take a closer look at it in person.
From what they've shown us though, it looks like a keeper. Transmissions can be swapped, but clean one-owner 95's aren't exactly common in 2017.

It's arguably the least desirable form of FD imaginable. Montego, tan, auto, non-R1/2. At least it's got a hardtop.
That said, it's not a crazy price. With a trans swap and some TLC it could probably pull mid 20's.

60k on the body isn't bad at all. I can't remember how many mine had when I bought it. That being said, I'd rather rebuild an engine than go through the process of a transmission swap
I wanted that fd that's why I went to the dealership that had it and went through it extensively . it was real clean
but not spend 15k+ and do a manual swap clean. specially after knowing it was a 60k car with a new engine and cluster
