Well, i gotcha all - you thought it'd blown up didnt you :P

Coming onto the M1 at brent cross after ace cafe, just about to floor it and go for gold on the open road and...oil pressure drops, defi gauge beeping.

Sorry about pics, camera phone.

RX looking sad

These oil filter pedestals have a known problem with this happeneing, the manufacturer recalled them to fix them, but i wasnt about to send mine back to the US to get it fixed. Ill just weld the post back in tomorrow.

Worst news is the whole side of my engine, subframe, bottom of car and some of the transmission has had 3 litres of oil sprinkled over it! Time to invest in a steam cleaner methinks...

That so sucks ! Good job though. Been watching the build up. Can you go to a car wash that has one of those under carriage washers? I'd hate to be the chap that hits the oil that's dumped all over the road though. Had that happen to me. Anyways, good job !!!!!!!!!!!

I need to fit a set of saxymans custom solenoids anyway, so this is a perfect time to strip that side of the engine and steam clean the whole lot!

Hey Bob, did you rebuild with a kit from the US, local UK kit or did you compose and buy it from Mazda?

Great work though

I think it was an atkins kit, i bought it off soemone who bought it and didnt need it. All parts were mazda OEM however, apart from teflon coolant seals.
