I've got a tranny rebuild comming up around the corner for the R1. Fifth gear synchro is gone. Grinds every single time going to fifth. Double clutching helps only when i'm at 40mph or less.

quick shifted 2nd to 3rd on a short shifter yesturday and it grinded so maybe that too.

Synchro's are cheap. It's just the labor to get to the bitches.

Whenever I rebuild the tranny I'm thinking of throwing in the 4.33 final drive gears. Can I have the opinions of people who have it?

Also throwing in a flywheel while I'm down there. There is already a good clutch on the car.

 

is there a set kit?

I intend to do the same to mine in the near future...
