think I just murdered my car.

I'll start by saying that I am not the mechanic type.
I replaced the plugs and wires using the paper clip trick...NGK's plugs and Jacobs wires.
After getting it back togther, I started it and it runs like CRAP! Very rough with much unburned fuel.
I was careful , but I might have crossed the wires.
The one strange thing is that the wires were pretty close to stock length except one that was much longer. Can't imagine thats it.
I must have crossed them.

Yeah, check the wire and also did you reverse the trailing and leading plugs (if you are using different ones)?

Im assuming you took the throttle body off to do this, if not, you're good. But assuming you did, check the hose coming off the MAP sensor (both ends). You may have knocked that off since it's right there, and that will do exactly what you're saying it's doing.

Why the hell would you take the throttlebody off to change plugs and wires?

Have you changed your plug wires?

If anyone has a pic of the MAP sensor, I could use it. I'm not near my book or cd.
My email is:
technonovice@yahoo.com
I'll send some Videos on CD to those who help me on this.

You should also check to make sure the wires are nice and snug to the "coil" end. You'll get the same rough running, and you'll probably hear a fairly loud "snapping" sound as it grounds if one is not totally tight. You need to push them on REALLY hard, and unless you've removed the throttle body it's really difficult to get your fingers in there, especially if you have big hands like me.
BTW, good choice on the Jacobs wires, they are really well made, don't sweat the extra length. Make sure to put the grease on the inside of the boots or they'll be a mother to take off in couple of thousand miles since they seal extremely tight to the plug.
Your engine is ok, something just got knocked loose.

Here is a pic. Can some one direct to the MAP sensor?

The MAP sensor is 3/4 out of the picture on the right (above where it says "trailing"). It's a small black box mounted on the firewall. There should be a rubber hose connected to it.

It's not in the pic. The MAP sensor is the little black box on the firewall on the drivers side. There is a hose coming out of it on the bottom. It runs from the box, down between the firewall and the throttle body and it attaches underneath the Upper intake manifold I believe. Check on both ends of the hose to see if something is loose.

I did the plugs and wires recently (3 months ago). I got Taylor wires, and they were almost exactly the same size as the stock wires (I think they were all 1 cm longer). If you've got one that is much longer, make sure you got the right wires.

Not likely that you really broke anything, I'd take the parts off and retry.

I put a short page on my plug and wire ordeal at
