Source for headlight cover?

My passenger side headlight cover on my FD is on
it's last legs. The plate in the back that is
attached by the 2 phillips screws has snapped
off. It appears that it is now only being
held on by the 2 screws on the side.

Outside of Mazda, does anyone know of a source
for a headlight cover?

light cover

Hey whats up dude!

beside the OEM light covers, I don't think that they are available any where else. Best thing to do is, call a junk yard to see if there is a FD there. Or what you could do is buy a light cover from i.e(racingbeat.com, pettiteracing.com, etc.) however, it will have an opening for your intake. A plus if you have a hot air intake system.

However, you stated that two of the bolts are gone, if thats the case , why not go to a hardware store and find some new bolts?

If you live near Peter Ferrel, give a call, may be they have some used parts.

peace

If you are missing the bolts any hardware store will do. I have hunted around twice. Junk yards only want to sell the whole headlight assembly. You'll have to buy one unpainted for $75-$80 and pay another $75 to paint it.
Unless...
My driver side cover snapped at the mount plate joint so put a little epoxy on it and let it set. I then gently removed the cover with the delicately attached mount face and reinforced it with a little more epoxy. After that set, I took some aluminum flashing and shaped it roughly like this _/\_ except a thinner opening and epoxied that over the mount face
It has held for several months. Though it does not fit quite as well as it used to. It will get me thru until I get around to a proper fix.
By the way without all the screws the windsheer will eventaully tear it right off and put iy into the windshield of the car behind you.

I have the bolts, the plate in the rear snapped
off. I considered glue/epoxy, but I'm not sure
it would hold since it's so thin.

I'll check out Racing Beat and Pettit. Where
can I find the Feed piece?

Thanks!
