just to join the foray....

not that i would do it again or anything -

but i was in my 93, about 1 month after i had installed my coil-overs...

I was in light traffic, doing about 100.. and all of the sudden.. *whoosh* something flies past me.. as I come to realize its some schmuck in a SUV who has absolutely no brains.. and so, i figure, what the hell, ill just follow him, at least ill get home quicker..
and then all of the sudden.. we come up on this hill, and bam, theres a cop over the ridge, standing outside of his car gunning people.. im like holy ****, im done... i was thinking about slowing down, when all of the sudden, the SUV speeds up!! so, im like.. okay.. the cop is going to nail me, and i dont want that, so i follow the SUV, and we go down about 6 miles, and I get off that exit, and pull into a parking deck at a mall, and i run into the mall..

i come out like 15 minutes later, no cops or anything, and I get back in my car on my merry way.. as I hear over the police scanner, they caught the SUV, and were still looking for a red viper.

I was like, thank god other cars in the world copied our style.

Sometimes good things can come of mistaken identites. I guess it could also work the other way around, if there were very many Vipers on the roads. I've noticed not that many people now what the RX7 is until they see it. Even today, an import guy with an Acura Integra thought the 93 was the old style! I seen him in a Mcdonalds parking lot when he told me that. As we were sitting there, 2 guys in newer Camaro just creeped by gawking. The guy with the Acura was gloatin about his car... until the guys in the Camaro said "****, that's an RX7" ha ha. I love my car

You will be riding the "Ankle Express" for quite some time. My buddy had his license suspended and was able to get a red license so he can drive to work and school. So he got a job at 24 hour fitness and drives with his work shirt in the car!

I'm in the military, and I got 8 pts against my "on-base" license and it was revoked for 6 months. All I did was barked the tires in my old T2 taking off and I was doing 45 in a 25. The penalties aren't light for any kind of traffic offense no matter where you are.
