Question Red hot

I was just out beeting on my car, but not too bad, anyway I came home and looked under the car and their was somthing glowing red hot, on the passenger side on the bottom of the engine , but you could'nt see it from the top. What is this and is it normal?

well, its funny u say that cause i was out beating on my car today and noticed the same thing. If we are talking about the same thing, then its the pre-cat. I dont know if its normal but id say its time for a downpipe...

if you have the original precat and main cat the heat that thing makes is crazzy hot! if you have a downpipe than it is more than likely your main cat is clogged, it was so in my case. changed out the cat and it was so much faster. if the car runs good and is making good boost it may be so many other things it isnt funny.
