there are a few:

1. I´m building my own Vented Hood at the moment.
Due to the fact that Aluminium and Fibrglass have different expansion under heat and it will tend to crack and look nasty the goldwrap should hold some of the heat back from the hood. The heat should only exit the engine bay at the end of the hood and should not heat it up over the complete surface.

You are reading a little too far into expansion/ contraction properties of the aluminum & fiberglass... In order for the aluminum to expand far enough to crack the fiberrglass, there would have to be present temperatures exceeding the solid propeerties of the fiberglass. It would either melt or burn away before cracking. I wouldnt worry too much about that.

2. When I have finished my Hood, I want to channel the air through the Intercooler to the vents. Only the air through the Intercooler should pass through the vents. So I will make some sort of air duct under the hood and the wrap will be a part of it. Simply to seperate the air from the intercooler from the rest of the engine bay.

Look into welding small ductile encosures on top of your v-mount (if thats what you are using to vent through your hood) look at the REVOLUTION FDlook how the ducting is built into the hood and sandwitches down onto the intercooler core. between the top of the ducting and the hood you can use a product called "CROWN BAR" it basically is a weather strip type gasket material, that is used to creat air/water tight seals between 2 metal objects. its great for vibration noise reduction.

3. I have alot of modifications and the cops here in germany don´t like it. (even when everything is legalized through alot of tests)
So the wrap should also screen the parts from view. f.e.
- BOV
- Water Meth - Controller
- HKS Twinpower
- All the needed new routed cables and hoses
etc.

Police are scary enough, I couldnt imagine being pulled over & yelled at by an angry German Police Officer...

4. I thought it would look great too (hides all the hose, cable - chaos)

It does look good in moderation, be a little more creative with the install & it will look a 100 times better.

5. I got the wrap for free :-D

Lucky... But remember; just because something is free it doesnt make it a good idea to plaster it all over your enginebay

I know for 4th Point I maybe have to cut some of the wrap off... It is maybe too much.

I´ll post pictures when I have fnished it.

regards Marc

PS: to stay ontopic.
a pic of my FD...

here my latest build:
Double Diffuser - Vortex Generator - Foglight .
due to the fact that we have to have a foglight here in germany I thought it would be the best solution to built a aerodynamic functional part :-)

sorry for the crappy cellfone pic.
if there is some interest I can make a better picture of the part

early design phase: :-)
You have a really nice red FD (a color I dont complememt too often, just refine that gold in the enginebay & you'll be set.

JDM-AREX7, your car would look SO much nicer in my opinion if you went back to the stock pop-up lights.

Some shots of my FD at a recent track day that Scrub and I attended with the NJ/DE Viper club. The copperhead viper pictured was running Moton coilovers and 345mm Michelin PS Cup road race rubber out back and I was right behind him the whole day

A few of those shots were taken by Scrubs mom including the ones below... No real good action shots of our cars, just another oh here's the scrubmobile on track pic. The car looks the same, nothing excitingly new.

Getting the good ol' point by from the lead car.

I kind of liked this pic for some reason.

You're not on the way for me lol. I'd like to get one or two more track days in before the end of the season. I will let you know which ones I sign up for and you can join in if you want. I think we'd have some fun on track dude

While it does look good, it does have a function. Lots of race bikes, and even race cars have socks on their brake reservoirs to soak up excess brake fluid during a quick change/fill, or to prevent a mess due to a faulty seal/overflow. On racebikes the sock helps keep the brake fluid temp stable as it shields it from the sun. As well known brake fluid is harmful to painted surfaces, and very flammable. Best to keep it in check
