Today was an exciting day--- it turns out one of my neighbors has been in the auto paint/detail business for 15 years and he offered to wetsand and detail my FD for a very reasonable price.
He brought home all his supplies from work (to include 3000 grit sanding pads) and the car turned out amazing. It's never looked so good, in person the paint appears almost flawless. One thing though, Scrub and I have a track day with the NJ/DE Viper club in a few days, so I guess the car won't be shiny for long

Believe it or not, he worked his magic over the 3M film--it's still there
I'll call ya later tonight, I'm sure he'd be able to detail your car for you, hopefully before the Carlisi meet. Would be nice if we were both freed up to concentrate on other stuff like planning the event

Damn everyones car is lookin good now a days. I love what you did with the grill Gordon, it kinda reminds me of a shark mouth though...maybe just cuz it was shark week, or maybe its just me. Love it either way...
You'll be surprised.. I got a Makita buffer and over 500 dollar worth of detailing material and did my car for a show. During my 450+ mile drive it rained to the event and from the event. I got home and just using a damp microfiber towel, all the grime just came right off. Once the car is well detailed with sealant and wax, stuff just slides off.
Love the wheels
Hey mate, the wheels look great - very classy look on a black car. You could go deep dish if you want to look a bit more racer, however if you wanted classy I think you've just about got it. I have the same wheels but with the machined lip which looks great in my opinion - and they are so light for racing!
Brake Job
Here's mine.
I am quite sure I haven't posted in this thread yet.
Just did 4 corners rotors, pads, painted calipers and stainless steel braided lines
All in my garage and with only some help from a great friend of mine (god bless him!)

Brake Job Take 2
Here's mine, after I did brake lines (braided stainless steel), pads, slotted and drilled rotors, painted calipers with brushed and clear coated mazda logo and washed all suspension bits and of course, the entire car

I'm not going to transform it, but some little touches here and there, stuff that is not that noticeable, those things that people who don't know a lot about the car would think were there in the first place...
I'd love to get a nice set of rims, something like RPF1 no more than 17"...
We'll see this winter.
Me and the lady took a trip up to lobster fest in Maine.... then Drove up to Acadia National Park to take the 20 mile loop around the park.... then went whale watching..lol. We were 5 hrs from Nova Scotia & about 4 hrs from Canada
Here's another with the 50mm (1.4f), I shot supper shallow with this one and it cost me....I didnt notice the car was out of focus...
