yes yes yes... a tad more lower and it will look good..

theres nothing wrong with doing what he wants with his fd..

every one here has a ******* opinion, some love it, some hate it, others are in between.

but who cares its his car. i seen plenty of UGLY SHITTY fd's in this thread(including mine), but who cares, every one has a right to be different..

IE: body kits(plenty of shitty cwest, and re kits here), wheels, tire specs,wings,etc..

not every one goes to the the track and needs a track ready fd..

im glad he did what he did, im going with a similar style with my fd as well.. its all in the name of our own taste and liking.

i myself do not like most of the "hella flush" guys, but i do love it when a car has great fitment.. (it might not be proper for some, depending on what they do with the car.)

some people want to stand out and be different, some of us do not want to conform to the norm of 18x8 and 9 +45 offset wheels.. who cares.

every one has there own opinion.

20b 3 rotor, your set up is legit, and keep it up.. whats the plans for the fronts??

(please excuse any and all bad grammar on my part).

Wow! Much different perspective now. Thanks for the pics.

I didn't think the camber would be so off like that. If the camber was a bit more positive (centered), if at all possible, I think it would look better; maybe even actually perform better. Additionally, it looks like the camber is uneven. That is, one side seems more negative than the other. However, that could just be from the camera angle.

Interesting, though.

Yeah I knew I was throwing myself under the bus posting these pics in here. I could have gone pettit, but in my opinion they just dont look that good.

I could have gone less camber and more stretch, either way though somebody isnt going to like it. I saw more camber and less stretch as the lesser of two evils. The way it is right now, the camber might be slightly uneven but on the pasenger side the rear wheel is on a slight incline, and I know I have a toe problem just need an alignment.

Love it or hate thats your right, I was just tired of having the same car as everyone else, call it different good or different bad once again thats your right. I think im one of the only ones to go with such a low offset with these flares on an fd, or with even the pettit flares. So I tried something new and I think in that respect it came off really good since this hasnt really been tried before. As for the veilside fortune guys, there in there own league of offsets, I like to think im pretty close though .

Just to clarify, I'm not hating on your car at all. The additional pictures you posted really gave me a different view of the wheels and overall look, and just thought I'd put in my thoughts. Regardless, I commend you on your goals/desires for YOUR car

Best of luck to you.

20B, I'm not sure I'd go much lower in the rear. First, I don't think 1 degree will help much. I don't remember what my camber is off the top of my head, but I know my tires/wheels don't poke past the fenders near as much as yours, and I have a pretty tight STANCE suspension (on the rear 10k springs with the settings at 6 or 7 of 16 IIRC) and I STILL have my tires hitting the flares at some point, I'm guessing under throttle. And I have quite a bit more room between my tires and fender than you do. Just a thought.

I don't think you're stretching tire near as bad as you could have, which I think is good. As far as how wide it sits though, you're definitely hitting the current limits of what has been done (aside from a race car anyway) lol. What flares are those, Chargespeed? Hard to tell from the pics.

RE-A / FEED / Burnout and others widebody rear fenders all offer around +25mm... they will only let you stick out the wheel from about 4 - 5.5 inches (from the hub) depending on the camber and tire size you are using. Imho, Anything larger would start looking out of place and would affect negatively the performance of the car

Picked my car up from Vancouver, headed back home to Edmonton. These were taken at a rest stop near Jasper right before my overflow reservoir cracked...

Yep, its still an FD, but now im one of only a handful with these flares, and one of only few with these flares and an offset of give or take -30 so in that respect im different.

No offense to you or anyone else, but lately ive just been seeing to many fd's with 18x10's or the same old rims colors and combinations.

As for performing worse, it really doesnt perform any different. Drives the same when I was stock body, only rubs on really bad bumps. Now I can actually hook up instead of just spinning the stockers These rims are really light too, so there isnt too much of a difference off the line.

I cant change your mind about it looking worse, but hopefully in the coming weeks I can make it look a little less bad in your eyes.

You can't be original and yet at the same time modify your car to please others. Do as you please or be everyone else's pawn. There are options.

Chepopain, your FD looks much better now w/the popups IMO.

20B 3 Rotor (again IMO) that looks absolutely horrible, by far a complete waste of an FD chassis. Officially my least favorite car on this forum. Wow.

Here's one of mine from above:

Just on the subject of wide rears......for a car to handle at its peak, dont you really want the front track to be slightly wider then the rear? Other wise wouldnt you introduce terrible understeer?

Um... you must not be very good at figuring out the changes. Such offset is making the scrub radius on your car insaine and reducing overall grip. You may not think so, but I assure you it is. You just dont know any better. (Or cant tell)

This ^

I can tolerate some of the "hellaflush" stuff even though generally I think it all looks stupid. It seems like now that like half of the car scene is doing "hellaflush" there is a subset that wants to go even further. That even further group is more like "hella poke". You do realize the "flush" part is supposed to be the lips of the wheels with your fenders, not the tire tread and your fenders? Your wheel lips are sticking pretty far out past your fenders man. Looks more like the low rider trend of the early 90s but with big wheels instead of small wheels.

You may think you are being different, but really you are simply following a trend which all of your friends are also doing (ironically stating they are doing it to be "different" considering they are all doing it) In 5-8yrs you will look back, along with the rest of the car scene, and think your wheels looked as stupid as people look back at the low riders of the early 90s, and the giant wing/sticker ricers of the 2000's. Functional looks (those dreaded 18x10 you dont like) never goes out of style.
