Post Some Pics of your FD! :D <- Pics of your car go in this thread!!
Does this car have stock fenders or are they rolled? I would say they are up there with CCW Classics.
Edit: Anyone know the offset?

nice ride...
What turbo is that? How's the PFS SMIC working for you? What intake temps do you see and @ what ambient temps?
I had one but got rid of it after I went single. I really wanted to keep it so I even called PF supercars for advice. They adviced against it so I got rid of it, yet I always wondered...
People modify their cars to make them look more exotic, make them perform better, make them go faster. When was the last time you saw a true exotic car (Ferrari, Lambo, etc) that had wheels sticking out past the fenders and tires stretched to hell? It just looks tacky and doesn't perform well.
I'm all for wide wheels if you have overfenders/flares, but to have it stretching out past the fender is worthless.
Its a GT35R, Just started driving it again since the turbo swap, I've been upgrading the fuel system to 550 and 1600 injectors all with 6an fittings and ignition system to get it running so I can tune it. In the process of tuning it now, but its cold outside 50-60F and I'm not sure if this intercooler will work when it gets warmer out because of heat soak. Looks like 34C while moving and 45C at idle, But I have not moved the temp sensor, its still getting heat soaked under the UIM.
If someone was willing to trade for a FMIC, I would be willing to consider it.

I guess tire manufacturers are a bunch of dolts when they give you a width fitment for their tires, I mean what do they know. It is looking "cool" that counts remember.
No Ganesh, it looks dumb.

Man you got it all wrong. people modify cars because they like to modify cars. not to be more exotic. putting a turbo kit on my car or adding aero did not put my car on par with ferrari or lambo.i can assure you my level of vagina stayed the same when i picked up my FD. Too most people adding a body kit is "ricing out your car" anyway. People put big *** wheels on there car because they like the look of it. If you think you can't get a performance advantage out of stretched tires your wrong. I'm not say that if i ran 225 on 11inch wheel my car will be a mad tyte time attack car. I'm just saying most of these cars wont even see a track and if they do who cares what Street performance there getting because, THERE NO SUCH THING AS STREET PERFORMANCE YOU DRIVE NORMALLY ON THE STREET YOU DONT USE THE STREET AS A RACE TRACK ALL THE TIME. i run streched tires because i think it looks good and i love modified cars not because i want a super car look ??? im not tring to bash but every time someone post up streched tires so, please plenty of people all over the world do it. from exotic car owners to honda dudes.

Each car and owner is different i think. It depends what is being done with the car as well. OEM Wheels and tires regardless of manufacturer need to conform to a lot of things.
I went from 245s on a 9 in wheel to 215s on a 9 in wheel (Mainly to get rid of my old staggered setup). The car broke loose a lot more, it was a lot more fun to drive. It's not that i can't buy fat tires, i just prefer the car to be a lot lower and easier to break loose cruising on the street. Track and highway runs are different.
But I am guessing this is not a good idea to clutter this thread about this topic. We can always discuss this later in depth.

There is most definitely a theory of "street performance" and that is exactly why people slap on turbo kits, suspension, upgraded fuel systems, racing seats, etc. it's the main reason that all these "performance shops" exist, and why people mod their cars.
While DCups car may not be a 100% track car, that's fine, but all these guys running super-stretched tires might as well just leave their engine bays stock and they'll get a lot less flack from those of us that understand that wide wheels are for running wide tires. If you're going to bring your car up to 400+ horsepower and then run an 11" wheel, running a 245 tire is absolutely pointless. If you had a stock engine, running an 11" wheel, I'd see no problem in someone stretching tires because obviously they're going for looks alone; However, if they're also going to be increasing the performance of their car then I will criticize them when they choose to handicap themselves by running a tire width that you can run on the stock wheels.
Even though the car below does not have as aggressive of a stretch as the black Rx7, it still is there.
Granted just because it's JDM, it does not make it right....but i think it more a preference of taste than the platform.
yeah cuz this car see the track everyday right ?[/QUOTE]
I think he was addressing more of a safety concern. But I mean who cares about safety if it looks cool?
This phenomenon of stretched tires on oversized wheels is ONLY present in the import community, on cheap cars. The 240s, RX7s, etc, that young kids can afford to buy and mod. If you look around at different modifying communities I can promise you that you will notice a trend as to what groups of owners are into this terrible fad.

Can everyone not agree that its each to their own. They are only doing it to their own car, not yours.
There IS NO right or wrong way! Its all about what pleases the cars owner.
Hell paint your car rainbow if thats what makes you happy.
I will never do anything to my car to please other people. If I like it...I'll do it regardless.

I'm all about aesthetics but when it comes to DCUPS ride I can care less. It looks so good that until you guys pointed out the stretched tire thing I didn't even notice. I'm not one for 19s on a 7 but you guys gotta admit, that car is super clean, and well sorted.
