I daily drove my FD for two years and put over 25,000 miles on it before I decided to have it repainted and put on a harsh suspension for trackdays that no longer made that feasible. The only problems I had were the y-pipe gasket going out and the stock clutch couldn't handle the extra torque the motor was putting out. If you know what you're doing I think they can be reliable, but it's no Honda that you can just beat on...

 

Had some fun with the whole HDRI fad this evening:

What is the purpose of those two red lights at each end of the licence plate on the european models?

 

The left one is a rear foglamp, the other one is for symmetry I guess.

 

That's what I thought... But I have to ask, what's the purpose of the Fog light on the rear? Traffic from behind?

In theory you're supposed to turn it on to stay visable when it's really, really foggy. It's about as bright as the brakelights.
In practice people just forget about them completely. Or turn them on in heavy rain resulting in a blinding glare from the spray behind the cars.

Anyone have more pics of Mytelex22's front end. Appears to be 99 spec turns cut into a '93 front bumper. I'd have to see more close up pics before I decide if I like it or not. Anyone??
