DOLivera,

Welcome to the forum!
Lima is where I was born. Been in Canada the majority of my life. Almost 26yrs now.
Got to T.O. when I was 3.

The family had a few trips back to Lima. But that's when we were really young. We recently went back in 2000.

It's been forever since I've seen the city but there are certain areas and certain smells that'll always remind you of where you're from.

Coincidently, I remember seeing a black FD being sold at a car dealership. I couldn't get a really good look at her, but I was amazed an FD actually made it down to Peru!!

I have no idea how you drive it around! If I remember correctly, the roads are brutal and those damn Tico's are everywhere!!! The majority of the cars are all banged up, scratched, paint faded, etc.

Much respect to you if you can manage to drive this type of vehicle around there!!!

Lates,

Lates,
Neo, nice to see another peruvian around here.

all your descripton about the country is correct, our roads are so devastaded that if i lower the car i wont be able to drive it, the Ticos and combis are all around and you cant drive in peace thanks to that.

I remeber that FD, it was being sold at the Aviacion avenue, actually, on sunday that same FD appeared at the ads again, i called to the number and it was bought by her son who left the country, later i'm going to see the car, they want $7500, the most probably is that i'll buy it because it is a great oportunity to get another of the less than 15 FD's in the whole country, and beacuase mine have been on wip since 2005 and i really want to drive an FD and sell my MX6.

Right now i'm not at home, when i arrive i'll post some pics of some others FD's in Lima.

DOLivera,

Good to hear some things haven't changed! Those damn Ticos are everywhere. And they're constantly honking their horns. That's one of the first things I noticed when we arrived in 2000. The noise level is extremely loud! Everyone's honking all the time. When I got back to Toronto I felt like I was in a ghost town. Everything was so quiet. Only thing you heard were the hum of tires around the airport! lol

15 FD's in the whole country! I was surprised to see 1! I did notice a few BMW's and Mercedes around town. But it was only in the "nice" part of the town. Everyone else had little Toyotas or Nissans.

Can't wait to see some of those pics!

Lates,
heh yeah, the peruvian dirvers have an bsesion with the horns.

about luxury cars, the ammount of them have increased a lot thanks god, but also the ammount of crappy cars have increased

here are pics of some of the FD's in Lima, the red with ugly kit is also for sale, the extremely ugly yellow one have just been sold for $12k, the blue one is from a friend of the Mazda club, the black one is from an old man that lives at an expensive zone of the city and also owns a Turbo II FC, the other red one i dont know who owns it, and later i'll post pics of the black one you mentioned.

I like how the pics show the haziness of the enviroment! lol
I remember that as well... The sun is always bright and you can kinda see a faint haze in the air.

It's so hot down there I can't imagine driving an FD around for too long! Poor cars would melt!

I've also noticed alot of these cars have received paintjobs. I'm not too fond of the bodywork on some of these vehicles.

I couldn't imagine owning something as nice as an FD around down there. I'd be worried people would vandalize it, or worse yet, steal it!!

All the more power to you buddy!!

Keeping those cars down there must cost a fortune!!

Well here we are, another updated set of pics of my 93 FD i know some will slate the kit but nm eh.
Its fully blended and i guess its kind of like marmite, you either love it or hate it.
Recent upgrades include KS RF420 non-seq twins, Apexi GT FMIC profec b spec 2 BC + many other bits.

I am debating on changing the bumper though to a 99 spec with a RE-A splitter, we'll see... Enjoy

How do you plan on changing the bumper with everything molded?

I feel drunk looking at the unfocused pix above.

If I ever get around to it I will start by cracking & cutting the fiberglass along the blended line, touching up the wings with an air brush and getting the new bumper sprayed and installed

Oh come on, have a sense of humor!

I got the plate because I have a sense of humor and take no offense to the term.

Good thing you're changing it. IMHO it would look so much better without that front bumper. The side skirts are meh but not as bad.

Thanks! I have tons, but if I posted them all they would take up 10 pages. If there's something in particular you're looking for I'd be more then happy to post it.

Aharada,
Thats actually a nice shot I'd like to see some more pics if you've got em.

I see someone else is rockin the SSR GT3s, Ramy will be upset....because he's a little girl.

I USED to have the RE-Amemiya pro diffuser with the side generators installed, but it's pretty much destroyed right now. I still have the side generators though.
