ported

when your engine is ported....street ported in this case, should you see more or less vacuum.

meaning how can you tell how wildly or mildly ported your engine is by looking at vacuum numbers??

does a port pull MORE vacuum? ive always thought so but wanted to make sure i had the right info

i have a street port and am usually pulling about 19 on the vacuum gauge @750 rpm

what kind of numbers do yall see on your motors and tell me if youre ported or not

thanks

Yes.

Normal stock motor will show 18" or better.
Mildly ported motors show 14"-16".
Heavily ported motors can go down to 10"-12".

I myself have a street port and pull around 14" vacuum @ idle.

Hope this helps
