Thumbs up polished key hole, tell me what you think

I pulled apart my door handle today to finally replace the light bulb and to repaint to key hole black since it was chiped and looked like crap. I took it apart and decded to polish the chrome up and leave it shiney. Here are two pics, tell me what you think....

I kinda like it black. It stands out too much from the rest of the black door handle part. I would paint it.

On a side note, nice job on the stock airbox with the hole in the bottom. I've been wanting to do that for a while, I even bought another airbox.

Can you do me a favor and send some additional pics/info on how you did this, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks.

I was thinking about doing the same thing since my car is platnum silver I think it would be a good match. Actually I was even thinking about polishing the entire thing(key cover).

color

I would like it better if the whole thing was polished rather than just the keyhole.

Try polishing just the handle. It'll give it that Viper look. But with so much black surrounding it...hmm....yeah...polishing the whole assembly should look better.

great idea

I guess I didn't realize that the whole thing was aluminum? I think I might try to polish the whole thing(it needs to be repainted anyways). I wonder if it will stick out to much. well It is worth a try. If it looks shity I will just paint it. Oh does anyone have a pics of one polished? This would be a big help. Thanks guys for the idea.

Can someone please post a little tutorial for polishing the keyhole and handle. Please list tools, materials, and steps/techniques.

I would really appreciated it and I will post pictures when I am done polishing my handle and keyhole.

Thanks in advance
