Is my car self destructing?
My 1993 RX7 Touring is having new problems everyday. The first problem I had started 3 weeks ago. The car would idle too low when it was hot outside (80+), which would cause it to stall. BTW, the car is an automatic. I noticed there was a TSB's issued regardind this problem which pointed to the ECU. The original ECU that came with the car was part #N3A2-18-9E1, but the cars ECU was replaced by the original owner to #N3A2-18-9E1B. I don't know if this new ECU address the original TSB or not. Does anyone have any idea?
In addition, about a week ago the "hold" light started flashing after I had been driving for about a half hour. I understand that this means I need to get the car checked out with a computer to see what the flashing hold light means. Is this correct?
Finally, the last couple days I have been having all kinds of electrical problems. The clock won't keep time. It does when the car is running, but not while parked. The automatic antenna doesn't retract all the time when I turn the car off. And now today my Clifford alarm won't arm and I have to turn the ignition key several times to get things to turn on (radio, dash lights, engine crank, etc.).
I am at a total loss on where to start! Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!!
