How much would you pay for a striped 93
Theres a local guy here who got his 3rd gen stolen and about a month later they found it striped like theres no engine trannyy no radiator nothing at all and the hood has a little chipping overal its in good shape i belive its also missing some interior parts. This could be a good project car for me And the Car does have a CLEAN title so it just needs a new every thing but with me wanting mods any way i figure it might be a good deal. I gotta make the guy a offer but he says not to be to low becuase he alredy has a price in mind so what would you guys pay for a car like this?

Does it still have wheels? I wouldn't pay a dime over $4K if not. Take off even more for missing suspension and brakes. Getting a motor and tranny worth a **** alone is gonna cost you a good $4K if you do the work yourself (which you should). And all of the little things to do it right add up VERY VERY fast, trust me I'm dealing with a similar situation with my car. Since it's not in "whole" condition anymore, potential "low" mileage on the chasis isn't really a factor. And will the clean title carry over? How does that work in your state? Is he filing with insurance or just trying to squeeze what he can out of it? I don't think it can be filed with insurance and still carry a clean title. So what if he thinks your offer is too low? He's delusional ... and if he can find a sucker at his price then let it be.
Actually, it's probably worth less than that without all of that. More details, man.

unless you know 3rd gens backwards and forwards or have another one to reference while you are putting the stripped one back together, it'll be hard has hell to locate all those little parts and such that probably got lost. don't pay anymore than 5k. i wouldn't suggest buying it because it sounds like a huge headache in the making.

It doesn't have all of the stuff bolted around the engine bay? Yikes ... that stuff can add up fast. You need to check into pricing on something like that before you decide to go with it. Sounds like you'd need an FD fucked in the *** to find adequate replacement for what's missing. I'm having to replace lots of small parts right now and where I live FDs are so rare and there really aren't any junk yards ... it is ******* MIND NUMBING dealing with people trying to get little parts that I'm missing because one thing you'll learn is most RX-7 owners are idiots, ******, and just want to rip you off. And this is coming from a person with a sunshine personality who doesn't get annoyed by anything ... but the car industry can get to me. Seats are ... about $400 ... stock wheels with decent tires ... $600 ... shipping is a bitch. CYMs are a bit more valuable to some people, but since the paint is messed up like you said it's not really CYM anymore, is it? Because repaints aren't authentic. That's how I see it anyways, some people may care that the VIN number is linked to paint color in Mazda listings, but whatever. The way I see the situation is: a decent FD will run you $12000 ... and after putting this one back together it could only really be described as "decent" ... so start from there and start subtracting. Price it out before you get into it. And remember, motor rebuilds are from good cores you provide ... which you won't have, so it will cost you more. And you'll probably be missing so many stupid little parts that will add up (exhaust?!) ... that why I say you need one (or access to one) that's been wrecked in the back, too.

The worst thing is these "specialty" places for RX-7s and Mazdas tend to charge even more than anywhere/one else. I don't know much about OSA, other than are they the same place that sells a bunch of salvaged cars? But I'd suspect parts wouldn't be cheap because if this is the same place you'd be cutting into their needs.
