How do you turn off the alarm!?!?

Hi,
anyone know how to turn off the alarm once it's activated?
I dont know why it went off, and it'll stop when the key
is turned in the ignition, or when the doors are unlocked,

but if i take it out, or unlock the doors,
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

any clue?
thanks.
(p.s. this is second post, cuz my last one got no reads)

When it is going off, trying using the key to unlock the door. If the door is already unlocked, then use the key to lock the door and then unlock the door.

How do you even set off the factory alarm? I've never been able to.

so locking then unlocking it should turn it off completely?

i have a feeling i already tried that, but i'm not sure,
because the alarm has now drained the battery ,
the cars got a blown engine, and has been sitting for a few weeks, so the battery was already pretty low.

But anyways, the way i set it off was kinda wierd,
all i did, was get in, and step on the brake without using
the key first... i guess it musta been something else too,
but it went off when my foot hit the brake petal.

You can set it off by leaving one of the windows open. Then get out of the car and lock it with the key. Then reach through the open window and open the door. This will set of the alarm...Turn the alarm off by using the key in the door to lock or unlock it.

Tim, grow the **** up and shut the **** up. YOU DON'T EVEN OWN AN FD SO STOP PLAYING MAKE BELIEVE AND LYING ************.

For everyone else, this guy has been banned from other boards that I'm associated with for being an idiot (which I'm sure many of you have observed) and somehow is coming back and harassing me primarily and subscribing my email to **** sites, etc. If a moderator is reading this, I suggest he gets banned from this board as well, he has two userIDs created so far "jar" and "jarinhawaii" ... or you can wait until he starts posting up gay **** pictures from his private collection saying they are me and pictures of girls getting assfucked saying they are my mom like he does on other boards.

hehe, anyways, back on the topic of this post.

I realized how I set it off, and why it wont turn off.
it's because the battery is drained, and not sending
power to the power locks!
so I can only lock it manually, and the alarm is probly
not recognizing it(cuz no power there)

oh well, once it gets a new engine in it, and charges
up that battery, all should be fine,
thanx for the help
(and chill out jar)

What year is your FD? This doesn't work on my '94. The locked door won't open from the inside unless you first hit the unlock button. After unlocking it from the inside the door can be opened freely without the alarm going off. Maybe Mazda changed the alarm between different years?

Heya Tad (nice name) --

Mine's a '93 - and the only way to shut the alarm off was to use the key to unlock the door from the outside. Nothing else would do it (thus backing up the rest of our colorful commentary).

I had to figure that out, because it took forever for me to figure out how to set the damn alarm off in the first place! Quite a funny & retarded sight for the neighbors as they watch me beat the **** out of my beautiful RX-7 to try to set the alarm off. <jk>.

Kinda reminds me of my wife when the battery in her keyless entry remote control died. She called me and told me she was locked out of the car. I swear, I was laughing so hard, tears started coming out...

The Best way to set it off is to let one of your little cousins play with the car. This is what happened to me a few weeks ago. Took me a few minutes and few harsh words before my girl friend figured out to turn the power door locks. My first thought was to try the ignition, of course that didn't work. My alarm's horn wasn't very loud (more of a clicking noise), anyone know why? The alarm went off again the other day and this time I could hear the horn. Whats the deal?

well when mine went off,
it was a loud horn noise(like a regular aftermarket alarm)
but as it drained the battery(which was already almost gone)
it turned into a clicking, then nothing.

i'd say try'n set it off a couple times,
if it's a horn, you're fine, if its' a clicking, then your alarm
is busted for some reason.

Heh, i wouldnt suggest fixing it though... no one really
pays attention to alarms nowadays.

Hrmm, I believe DK,

sounds like this jar character is just trying to be annoying,
and succeeding, the best thing to do with this type of
internet pest, is to ignore him, argueing and fighting with
him and such only makes it worse, cuz it's exactly
what he wants you to do.
