has anyone removed the AC
For those of you who have, how did you do it? is there a write up on it somewhere? or is it pretty simple? For the sake of freeing up some horses, gaining easy access to the plugs, and saving some weight as well. Should I remove the condensor as well?

No A/C
Ive removed the a/c and its pretty simple. Although it does free up space having no a/c really sucks sometimes. The heat will have you goin nuts. So think about the ups and the downs on that one. C-ya

My AC doesn't work worth a crap anyways. Can you give me some details on how to do it? Also where to get a new belt that will fit w/out the AC pulley?

removing A/C
Well I removed everything when I rebuilt my engine so it was pretty easy. Its still pretty straight forward. You'll want to remove everything, all lines, condencer and so on. Their will be 2 lines(metal) goin in and out from your firewall. You'll have to remove secondary turbo air filter hose/filter. The lines are located right above the downpipe. Now on my car I removed power steering and air pump aswell. I went with a Greddy power pulley kit and it just came with the one belt from main pulley to alternator.

A/C Again
Ummm.....I just read what I wrote and did'nt realize all the stuff you've done to your car. WOW!! You already have pulleys intake, and all the other stuff, if you've done all that then removing the a/c is a breeze. C-ya

Maybe I'm just an idiot but I'm having the darndest time getting to the ac compressor. I can't reach the bolts because it's so close to the side fender. Should I remove the power steering pulley to get to the ac pulley?
Superman how do you like your car w/out power steering? If I want to remove the power steering as well what do I do? do I just remove the whole power steering pulley?

Power steering
The power steering is also simple to remove. I like it without power steering. You really don't notice its gone. The only time you would notice is when your going extremely slow (like leaving driveway or parking spot) or taking really sharp corners. Its also a beautiful thing when changing sparkplugs or getting underneath the intake elbow. As far as removing, there are 5 bolts holding it on and your air conditioning compressor is attached to it with 4 bolts, so if your planning on removing a/c ther's your chance. You will also be removing the lines that are connected to your rack and pinion. Those are the ugly looking lines located in front of your radiator. To get to those you'll have to remove intercooler (depending on what brand) air filter to main turbo (depending on what brand) and battery (you might be able to get to them without removing battery but I cant remember). Good Luck!!!

ok I'm gonna try to take it all off tommorow. I don't have an intercooler(front mount), my battery is in the passenger storage, and my cold intake is already out. I'm sure I'll run into problems(I always do) so keep a look out for my posts. I'll need you help.
Thanks!
Thanks!
