FC Oil Filter on an FD

Went to the local auto parts store to do the monthly oil and filter change and they were out of the oil filter. So I thought I remember hearing you could use a second gen filter on the FD. Is this true? It's alot easier to find a Pure One filter for the fc.

Thanks,
Mark

If you are not going to use the OEM filter then if you look in the filter book at the local parts store they list the same part number for both cars

Actually the Puralor part numbers are different. The FD is L14622 and the FC is L14459. I bought the Pure One filter for the FC because I thought you could use this one also.
