Double throttle solenoid
The double throttle solenoid on my friends car is not working. It's the one that connects differently if the car is a standard trasn or manual, and looking at it, I don't think it matters that it doesn't work.
Without current, air flows as the manual says it should. Applying electricity produces no click, like on functional solenoids, and the air flows as it did with no current.
Should he replace it or does is not matter because he has a manual tranny?

You threw yours in the garbage? So I take it you bypassed it altogether? There ARE hoses attached to it so I assume it has some function. It still controls the flow of air from 3 seperate vacumn hoses so I'm not sure how throwing it away would help. Anyone else have any ideas?

This will tell you how to disable it and remove the butterflies for better airflow:

I DID AWAY WITH IT BECAUSE I HAVE A SINGLE TURBO UPGRADE. I ALSO DID AWAY WITH ALL OF THE SOLINOIDS EXCEPT FOR TWO. ALSO THREW AWAY ALOT OF UNNECESSARY VACUUM LINES.
