bigger compressor wheels

I didn't get any replies on my last post about high flow twins so I'm going to ask a more direct question. Can I get bigger compressor wheels and mill out my compressor housing to get higher flowing turbos? I have non-sequentails now. Anyone know where I can get bigger wheels at?

Don't do it

Do even waste the money. I put larger compressor wheel in my primary and the shaft snapped in less than 5k miles. I was lucky the bits of compressor wheel did not go through the motor and take it too. How exactly do you know the IC is clean after that? I replaced my stock one just to be sure.

The stock sized shaft is too weak for larger compressors. There was one of the tuners (maybe M2) who sold a larger shaft with the larger compressors but then it's about the same as a single turbo upgrade.

Take it from me, save your money and get there another way.

damn!! that sucks. I was thinking of keeping my stock turbos for al least another year so I can tell people I'm still running stock turbos and in the 11's. What if I get larger wheels but made of different material? Or get the wheels and thin them out to make them lighter. I've actually seen people sand down the compressor wheels to thin them out and make them spool up alittle faster.

Jon-

Pettit sells upgraded twins, w/ larger compressor wheels, but you can't go to too large of a wheel, or you WILL snap the shaft... at best, you'll get a 10-25% improvement in your flow, and some increased efficiency... If you need any help w/ that purchase, let me know, I've got the in-line w/ Pettit.

You shouldnt have any problems hitting 11's on bone stock turbos. If all you want is 11's you dont really need to do anything to your turbos.

If you've already got your heart set on upgraded turbos email me at SJWhite2000@aol.com I've got a buddy that builds turbos for a living.
