11-10-9-8-7-6-5 boost pattern

ok heres the deal. i have an apexi power intake, downpipe, and apexi dual n1. yes i am going to get a computer... i'll hit 10-11 psi and it will diminish gradually. i checked the vacuum chamber and its holding pressure. i checked all the visible hoses that usually come off. i took off the cat because it was rattling thinking it was clogged to find out that it was completely hollow.(as in gutted) the major thing im worried about is it takes a second longer to start- could my compression be going? i never go lean and i have about 45k on the motor. any hints or suggestions.

any help is greatly appreciated. ted

Boost level vs. engine rpms are needed to make any diagnosis.
Boost pattern is:
before 4500-at 4500- after 4500/5000'ish-after 6500

If it trails off after 6000k/rpms, then there really isn't much wrong, just the stock boost control doing its job, which you want it to do, given your choice of mods (you should have gotten a computer before #2, otherwise, you are playing with disaster)

It if trails off at 4500rpms, then you need to look at the turbo control actuator, turbo control solenoids, vacuum tank, pressure tank, check valves that feed each, vacuum lines between all these components. That is the most common cause for boost dropping off above 4500rpms. Also, look underneath the car and make sure the TCA is hooked up to the TC valve in the exhaust manifold.
