You do you think I should do????????

I am getting a loan for 5k to do stuff to my car. I want to rebuild it for more power. It's still running strong just need more power. I guessing I'll spend about 2.5 k on the motor (getting it rebuilt, ported, etc...). What should I spend the other 2.5 k on? Or should I just get a 2.5k loan? Thinking about paint but I want to get some performance mods out of it first. (Clear coat is pealing on hood and top)

if it were me, i would sell your car, get the loan and get a Turbo II..

With 5k and the selling of your car, you should be able to get a stock TII and have enough cash left over for it to run 13 seconds easily

Don't want a turbo want to keep this get it fixed up real nice and then after college getting a FD. That way I can keep my N/A for a backup when I am waiting to get the FD out of Rotary Performance when I want to upgrade. Since there is always a waiting list.

RX-7 Addict is right. If you have the cash, definetly get the Turbo! That guy has a tight *** turbo.

BTW, can you guys answer my post about "restoring an FC RX-7"???https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=81104

Supercharge

for 5k I'd send my car to Atkins Rotary and have them supercharge the engine and clean it up. Of course, exhaust and suspension as well. http://www.atkinsrotary.com/supercha.htm

IMHO, get a halltech, T2 side housings (intake), T2 manifolds, with all of your NA internals (check for people selling Jspec manifolds).

Reliability should improve with the halltech (if tuned properly), and with one there is nothing that can stop you if going turbo, supercharged, nos, full bridge, etc!
