Yo, yo... New turbo and a fresh tune!
Anyways, today was the first day I "really" got my Turbo II back on the road. It's been under the knife now for nearly two months while I've accumulated parts and fixed various issues.
The new performance mods are:
Edexy H/D clutch and pressure plate ('turbine' hooked me up )
KYB AGX struts and RS*R "race" springs
Apexi S-AFC
680cc primary injectors (thanks rx7doctor)
890cc secondary injectors (thanks J-rat)
And this fun little gem:
Alleged specs are: ported s5 hybrid with a V-trim TO4B compressor wheel, .60a/r and a T04 housing... I still don't know turbo's *that* much, so I'm just playing the parrot.
Anyways, I got everything put back together (finally) and began tuning today via the S-AFC and a borrowed wide-band. Again, Tyler (turbine) is the gangsta' who hooked me up. We were able to get a pretty rock-solid tune, with max boost set at 12 PSI until I can get my FMIC bought and installed (next week). We tuned for low 11's and after a couple hours of casual tuning, we got the thing pretty much locked.
We also had a little run in with an NSX that didn't pose too much of a problem.
Anyways, I'm really stoked with the results and the increased power, so I figured I'd share.

I was impressed on how smooth the 680s tuned out. I anticipated some trickery but all went very well.
Just about a perfect injector combo for that turbo (680x890)
Word on the NSX couldnt **** with us.

satin black is freakin sexy as all get out on your FC.
if I ever buy a beater fc that needs a paint job i think I'll have to do that.

Thanks for the compliments guys. The paint is just basic Duplicolor semi-flat with some good prep-work. I have to say the car looks SO GOOD with the new suspension... It's a whole new monster, and it frikkin' pulls SO nice in 4th gear.
Heh, I'm gonna wait 'til I get my FMIC installed before the engine-bay pics. It's pretty *clean*, but it's kinda cluttered.
RX710thAE, the exhaust is dual Apexi N1's. p4nc7, yeah I mod'd my taillights.

your s4 give me something to look forward to and dream about when i get my s4 pretty soon. I love the N1's too, but i am going to go single exit. I dont think i'm going to go too wild in the build though, like a lot of us, i just want a streetable car with decent power, not tryin to beat down Z06's or anything. i like this smile so i thought id just throw it in for fun cant wait to hear more on your 7, later

Not to mention that we won't be doing any ricer bullshit roll races either.
seriously though, I don't see why it's so hard to believe that I can appreciate a quick car, even if it does whip me. besides, i've always liked RX-7's [shrug]
