i think mods should make a new rule... people doesnt know how to change shocks/springs (like 6 bolts each side) should not be allowed to act cocky....

*sighs*

he does have a point, it is spammy creating new threads. it is something most modded RX7s do and if everyone posted about it the board would be full of those posts, they already are... the board is here mainly for support, there is other boards on the forum for these types of posts.

anyways

grats on the flames.

only 6 bolts? sounds pretty easy then. Can you do a quick runthrough of the process, or can I just figure it out by looking at it?

It is just as i suspected then. Either way, if the shop can get the struts and install them for close to the price it would cost me to get struts and some spring compressor thing, then why should I do it myself and risk taking my inexperienced head off?

you can rent a spring compressor from any rental place for about 10 bucks. they seem to be pretty foolproof.

i don't know what a shop charges to put them on, but i bet it's more than 10 bucks.

Just dont be like me and change them without removing the top plate from the car. I could have done it in 3 hours less and without bloodying my knuckles

changing springs/struts is not all that self explanatory, the top strut mount adjusts camber/caster so if it isn't marked during removal and not installed in the same position it will affect camber and caster.

actually, i would say that it was the guy who started the thread who hijacked it himself. Therefore, is it really considered hijacking?
