hey guys, i've been searching and searching about the lsd thing. I have a 91 coupe and i jacked up my car to check for the tag, all's i saw were some numbers on the diff, i havnt spun the wheels yet, but i will later on today. what ive been looking for are pictures of this tag and what other identifying marks of the lsd there are in case the tag came off. any help will be appreciated, thanks, Justin

 

the tag will be on the fill plug and say "LSD fluid only" or something along those lines, been a while since I looked at mine.

If you jacked the car up and looked for that plug, why didn't you reach over and just give one of the wheels a spin? it only takes a second and you would have your answer.

 

didnt read that far in the faq yet but it wont take long to get it back up, and i didnt even have the wheels off the ground anyway, im starting to doubt it has one, but its still worth checking.

 

I also got a 91 coupe like you. I din't have an lsd. Got a complete rear end with lsd from an older model. will swap in a couple of days.

just in case. jack up the car, grab the driveshaft and turn it. if both weels turn in the same direction you got lsd. if only one weel turns you dont . probably will get flamed for my method but ist worth the shot. the rear end that I bouth turned both weels and the guy who sold it to me opend the case to show me the internals just in case . few weeks back i cheked another diff . and only turn one weel so I dint take the chanse of unbolting it.
