2-way 88 GXL Clutch type LSD

I have a few questions about this LSD:

If one were to replace the clutch would this mean the LSD would have to be fixed/changed or anything or are they compleatly seperate parts of the car... I guess I'm just getting confused by the way it says "Clutch type" is that just the way it works or does it directly interact with the clutch...

Also, is it a pretty strong LSD? It is a stock one, but it is also 2-way which is what I would get if I got an aftermarket LSD. Knowing that it is nearly 20 years old is it still going to perform the same job it did back in 1988..

These are about it for my questions, I like the idea of having an LSD but what good is it if I don't know what clutch type even means... I'm sorry for asking such a newberific question...

A clutch type LSD is not related to the clutch used by the tranmission.

It describes the action of the LSD and how it clamps or slides.
