yay a new FC
my buddy and I picked up a 88 SE the other day
things that we need to start working on
not worried about the clutch or flywheel, it has "new ones" with about 10k miles on them
1. REPLACE FPD!!!! <----i hate this thing
2. rewire the whole car from the Dashboard up, previous owner decided to just plug things in randomly
3. make sure motor doesnt have any minor coolant leaks that wouldnt be noticable while driving, watch for bubbling n such of coolant level for a bit
4. replace all vacuum hoses
5. Ground the beast
6. the car came with a RB header with straight piping to magnaflow mufflers, so we need to check to see if there is still a vaumm line connected for the 5th n 6th ports, and if it has enough back pressure to open them.
supposedly there is a port n polish on the motor before it was reinstalled, how much higher should my power band be for a stock s4...im thinking maybe n extra 500-800 rpms
going to do the usual fluids change
there is 1 prob im concerned with, when the car is in gear at idle it will surge to a low rpm back to norm after the AWS is done. Im assuming that its the sensor that tells the ecu that ur still in gear and that you shouldnt be able to start the car???
keeping the car N/A, unless in due time a friend of ours is going SR with his 240...then we might have to do a t2 swap or maybe go to a RE, but for now N/A
