I fixed an exhaust leak as well as plugged up the split air nipple on my cat, and now the car idles MUCH better... not to mention my timing issues went away and it just purrs, even at stock timing.

now....to fix all those damn oil leaks.

This time I need to use black RTV (oil-resistant) instead of red (high-temp)...

...also, my car is a lot quieter now...which to some is a good thing, and not so to others...lol

it still idles low when it's cold, though...

Maybe the BAC isn't working... (it seems to still work when I crank it though, since it'll rev to 3K for a few seconds, even though the AWS is capped off).

meh... at least it sounds better now.

are you pushing the clutch in when you start it cold? mine seems to override the the warmup procedures when the clutch is engaged for some reason, when out of gear (of coarse) and clutch disengaged it seems to work fine ie. 3500 to 2000 to 1500 to 800

You have to push the clutch in to start the car...

having it in gear shuts off the AWS.

What I mean is that it revs immediately after starting despite the fact that the AWS is disabled (although starting out of gear).

The BAC and AWS work together for the 3K start but it's primarily the AWS solenoid.

I take that back... as soon as the car was fully warm (I set the idle a few minutes after it reached half-gauge... the timing was also dead-on already at that point) the idle dropped to about 500 again...especially with the headlights and stuff on. So maybe there's a charging system issue?... or ignition... or maybe it's leak again... or perhaps there's a heat-specific vacuum leak. Meh.

I also need to adjust the TPS again... and get the brakes bled again (since apparently it STILL has air, at least in the rears).
