that is very true and i have read that whole thread ( i was thinking about turboing my n/a)
however, it took him A LOT of extra work and most people that have tried it cant run decent boost or they blow their engines...

no you can run as much boost as you want to however here is where very good tuning comes in and if you have a bad tune then you will have busted apex seals. SonicRat on this forum turboed his h/a with a bnr stage IV and got 400whp so it all depends on the tune.

always gotta be a hybrid hater but I don't know why? for the money you really can't beat them. It's really not even the money so much as the ease of just bolting on the extra horse power without the need for new exhuast, manifold, wastegate, oil lines, coolant lines, vband clamp, and new intercooler if you have an old school greddy setup that would block a full turbo upgrade. To each thier own.

I cant see hatin on any type of turbo. Different drivers want different applications. And lets face it, we all cant be millionaires. And on a military salary, Im lucky to be able to afford a car at all let alone being able to build a fun street car. We arent all looking for a show quality (I would love to have one but again cant afford it), some of us love to ACTUALLY drive our cars...

Maybe another dumb question

I have been comparing a lot of turbo remanufacturing companies. Has anyone heard of andresturbo?? The specs seem to be the same, $300 cheaper though. I have heard nothing from anyone reguarding them or their reliability.... Thanx again guys!

seriously just pick up the phone and talk to Precision Turbo. These guys build all there """""OWN"""" turbo's in house. 99% of these people are retailers. If you want a 300 dollar turbo then get a Borg Warner and stop wasting bandwith.

And waste money on a manifold, new downpipe, wastegate, and be making just as much as you would with a hybrid, and it'd probably cost you more as well.

Waste money?

300 dollar HKS cast manifold

made my own 4 inch down pipe out of SS

150 dollar 50mm HKS knockoff wastegate

1150 dollar PT67 turbo

And a hybrid is going to make just as much rwhp as my setup? Yeah sure it is
