I want to put an XR1 on my motoria exhaust for my 90 Turbo. I would like to put it in line where the cat would normally be since I have a race pipe there. The question I have is would the muffler last in that position due to the heat of the exhaust? I want to use it as a presilencer. If not what other choices would I have?

 

A lot of people do that, I'd like to do it myself to quiet down my exhaust, just replace my test pipe with it.
