Xcessive Mfg Trans Adapter

Question, I installed the Xcessive Mfg transmission mount adapter on my s5 fc when doing the auto to manual swap and it doesn't come with that center lower bushing. The old broken one from my auto trans is completely trashed (split in half, crumbling) Is there any suggestions as to what will fit as a replacement? The transmission moves around quite a bit without having that stabilizer bushing installed. Just looking for input. I was looking at the control arm bushing FB715 as some people have replaced their oem one with that part but idk if it will fit.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I don't know that it's the same size as the one on the adapter piece, but for the OEM cross member, someone dug up this:

Duralast Control Arm Bushing - Front FB715- ReadReviews onDuralast #FB715

It's a front control arm bushing off a Camaro. Supposedly it fits with a little modification (inside needs to be bored out so the stud on the Y-piece can fit), but I've never done it myself. It's part number FB715 so you can find it off Ebay or somewhere else cheaper.

Alternatively, these should fit as well:

FC Transmission Crossmember Bushing

But they're much more pricy and may cause some extra NVH.

Hope this helps,
Luke

I can attest to the Camaro bushing working quite well; I used it when I pulled the transmission out for rebuilding. You simply need a strong adhesive to secure that bushing in place on the crossmember.

That sounds like a good idea, in the mean time I took the bushing from a S4 crossmember I had and bored out the hole on the Xcessive bracket slightly with a dremmel and some sandpaper. I was able to hammer the oem bushing in place for now. If it works great if not I'll try the Camaro bushing when the time comes.

Thanks!
