holy crap, that looks sweet, keep it that way with the black wheels red on black. If you do want some differentce get it in a metallic but same base red to cover fading and to make it pop more, but wow that looks really good.

IMHO dark colors look better. I'd go with the blue. I'm painting my TII Graphite Gray this summer, thats also an awesome color

You do say dark colors look better but I think the bright colors, red, yellow, white, silver, etc. look really good with the dark wheels and black trim, it adds alot of contrast. Keep it the way it is or go light. Take a really good side veiw pic, almost silohuete and get a good photoshop of several colors. You'll see that normally a dark color loks good with bright wheels, silver, chrome, white, or a light version of the same color. But the dark wheels look really good on light colored cars. Especially with that black trim. I want to get some black or dark charcoal BBS wheels for my light metallic blue FC.

painting the engine bay will require removing the engine. Also, the doorjambs and around the hatch will also need to be painted. A complete color change can be a PITA. If you pay a shop to do it, it will cost a LOT of money. (like, 5000 dollars). repainting just the outside body panels red would be the best/easiest/cheapest idea.

Ok good luck with that, I don't know how much paint is, but I think you could pull off just redoing the current color on faded areas, then put in a flake, and clearcoat. It probably would be quite expensive, but I've never had a car or even a part painted, I just know automotive paint isn't cheap.

I really hate when people change the color of a car and don’t do it right. Just looks like a half assed spray glow job. Spend the 3 to 5 grand to do it right or just put same color on the body again.

Anyhow I am a die hard fan of white with 10% tint.

stick with the red due to the already covered topics of go big or go home when it comes to colour changing (unless you aren't fussy AT ALL)

but if your really want it to stick out instead ol' red, put a nice graphic down the side, perhaps some sublte tribal art in pearl outlines......or some nice subtle stripes to show off some body lines...
