Somewhere between 500 and 8000.

Seriously. Are you getting a full, show quality, color change done? Door jambs, engine bay, hatch, etc? That'll be at least 5-8000. A good job like that will be in the 8-10,000 range. Or do you just want a black exterior, that will look acceptable? No underhood, not exactly show quality? look to spend 1000-3000 on that.

There is no way to answer this question.. Unless you just want to know the price of the paint, in which case i'll guess: $100 per gallon, you'll need 1.5 gallons to do a full color change. That doesn't include the primer, clearcoat, adhesion promoter, etc.

hey that's my buddies car! OEM paint. paint job will depend on the place you go and if they paint door jambs, etc. just call around for estimates. There's nothing special about BB (PZ paint code).

Hey, how much would it cost to paint a car back to it's original color, if it's color was changed slightly, except for the door jambs, engine bay, etc?

My FC is sort of a medium metallic blue...whereas it was originally a 5D (brave blue metallic, or whichever).

Wouldn't need much prep...except for maybe a bit of black wrinkle under the car... and to have a bit of painted over rust ground down, and a few scratches filled in.

Basically... I would want it to look factory... except for the stuff that doesn't matter.

Any paint shop will tell you its not the actual paint job,its the amount of prep work involved.
Any and all dents, dings, rust. The amount of time to tape, and remove parts that don't get painted.Do alot of the bullshit grunt work yourself and it will save you alot of cash.

hey while we're on the topic, what woult it cost to sand, then paint a roof, mirrors, and a part of the hood, and then area over the gas cap only? Ya nkow little parts here and there, but not the whole car. sand to primer, repaint and blend, then clearcoat?

Brave Blue Mica isn't a medium metallic blue... It's a dark flat blue... Almost navy...
Sounds like you're referring to Harbor Blue Metallic...

1.5 gl of base coat?!? I did mine with 3 qrts and had some left over. And paint is at cheapest $100 per gallon for a cheap single stage that wont look like that.

But yeah do all the prep work yourself and have someone experienced spray it for you, thats the least time consuming part.

Red is by far the most expensive color to buy, black will be much cheaper anyday. If you want red or yellow be prepared to pay for it.
